Unclaimed Lands.—Notice by the Public Trustee under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II), and its Amendments.

TO the owner of that parcel of land containing 59 acres, more or less, situated in the Parish of Pukeatua, in the County of Eden, and being Allotment No. 31: Bounded on the north-east by Allotment 27, 2177 links; on the south-east by Allotment No. 30, 3030 links; on the south-west by a road 100 links wide, 594 links; and by the same road continued and on the north-west by Allotment No. 32, 2670 links; and being all the land comprised and described in Crown grant to William Dempsey, dated the 27th day of December, 1867: Whereas after due inquiry the owner of the above-described land cannot be found: And whereas the said owner has no known agent in New Zealand: Now, the Public Trustee hereby calls on such owner within six months from the date of the publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his title to the said land, and if such owner fails or neglects so to do the Public Trustee will exercise with regard to the said land the powers and authorities granted to him in and by the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II), and its amendments.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Education Reserve in Taranaki Land District for Lease by Public Tender.

District Lands and Survey Office,
New Plymouth, 18th May, 1937.

NOTICE is hereby given that the education reserve described in the Schedule hereto is open for leasing, and tenders will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, up to 2.30 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, 29th June, 1937.

The lease is offered under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908. Term: Twenty-one years, with perpetual right of renewal at revaluation.

SCHEDULE.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—EDUCATION RESERVE.

Patea County.—Kapara Survey District.

SECTION 8, Block VI: Area, 875 acres. Minimum annual rent, £5.

Weighted with £187 for improvements, comprising 50 chains fencing and 165 acres grassing. This sum is payable in cash immediately on acceptance of tender.

This property, which is situated on the Ridge Road, is not suitable as a separate farming proposition. Generally the land is of poor quality on sandstone formation, but portions thereof provide good grazing country for dry sheep.

Land in Wellington Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for sale by public auction for cash at the District Lands and Survey Office, State Fire Building, Wellington, on Monday, 5th July, 1937, at 2.30 o’clock p.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—VILLAGE LAND.

Waimarino County.—Rangataua Township.

SECTION 13, Block V: Area, 1 rood 20 perches. Upset price, £2.

Weighted with £72 (to be paid in cash) for improvements, consisting of fencing, cottage, and two sheds.

Section is a good level building-site (fronting on Miharo Street), situated half a mile from Rangataua Post-office, School, and Railway-station. Access is by metalled road.

Land in Nelson Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Nelson, 18th May, 1937.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, 8th June, 1937.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, on Thursday, 10th June, 1937, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined documentary evidence of their financial position, such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms, or from private persons or parents undertaking to give financial assistance. Persons undertaking to assist financially should state to what extent they are prepared to do so and supply guarantees of their own financial position.
