Revoking Rules for the Examination of Officers of the New Zealand Division of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve for Certificates of Efficiency in Navigation.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 23 of the Shipping and Seamen Act, 1908, I, Peter Fraser, Minister of Marine, do hereby revoke the Rules for Examination of Officers of the New Zealand Division of the Royal Naval Volunteers’ Reserve for Certificates of Efficiency in Navigation, made on the 29th day of December, 1931, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 8th day of January, 1932.

Notice under the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, and its Amendments, fixing the Closing-hours of (1) Hairdressers’ and (2) Tobacconists’ Shops within the Borough of Morrinsville.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing has been forwarded to me from the occupiers of shops in each of the trades of (1) hairdresser and (2) tobacconist within the Borough of Morrinsville pursuant to section 32 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22 :
And whereas I, Patrick Charles Webb, Acting Minister of Labour, am satisfied that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the shops in each of the said trades within the said borough :
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the said section 32, I do hereby direct that on and after the 7th day of June, 1937, all the shops in each of the said trades within the said borough shall be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 6 p.m., and on Fridays at 10 p.m., with the following exceptions :—
(1) On the evening of the working-day immediately preceding Good Friday, and on the evening of the working-day immediately preceding Anniversary Day, Anzac Day, or King’s Birthday, when such day falls on a Friday, the closing-hour shall be 10 p.m. ; and
(2) On the evening of the working-day immediately preceding Christmas Day, and on the evening of the working-day immediately preceding New Year’s day, the closing-hour shall be 11 p.m.

Notice of Intention to take the Leasehold Interest in Land for Scenic Purposes in Block I, Poerua Survey District.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Scenery Preservation Act, 1910, to take the estate of leasehold in the land described in the Schedule hereto, held by Isabella Johnston from His Majesty the King under and by virtue of lease in perpetuity registered in the Land and Deeds Registry Office at Hokitika, in Register-book Volume 15, folio 209, for scenic purposes : And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land in respect of which the said estate of leasehold is so to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Harihari, and is thereon open for inspection ; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said estate of leasehold should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such estate of leasehold, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land in respect of which the estate of leasehold is to be taken : 191 acres.
Being part Section 2258.
Situated in Block I, Poerua Survey District (Westland R.D.). (S.O. 3330.)
In the Westland Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 95544, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Classification of Road in Waipa County.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, I, Robert Semple, Minister of Transport, do hereby approve of the Main Highways Board’s proposed alteration in the classification of the road described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Waipa County.
SCHEDULE.
WAIPA COUNTY.
ROAD classified in Class Three : Available for the use thereon of any heavy motor-vehicle (other than a multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle) which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than 6½ tons, or any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than 10 tons :—
Great South Main Highway No. 1 (all that portion from the southern boundary of Hamilton Borough to the southern boundary of Ohaupo Town District).

Prohibition of Issue of Money-orders and Transmission of Postal Correspondence.
THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the persons whose names and addresses are shown in the Schedule hereunder are engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section 32 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, that no money-order in favour of any of the said persons shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to any of the said persons (either by their own or any fictitious or assumed names), or directed to any of the addresses mentioned in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.
