Additional Land near Halcombe taken for the Purposes of the Foxton—New Plymouth Railway, and for Road-diversion in connection therewith.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Foxton—New Plymouth Railway to take further land near Halcombe, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway, and to take land for road-diversion in connection therewith :
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in any-wise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of section one hundred and thirty-five of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that the area described in the said petition be constituted a new borough :
And whereas the provisions of the said section one hundred and thirty-five have been complied with in respect thereto, and the result of the poll taken on the proposal that the area should be constituted a new borough was in favour thereof :
