Additional Land at Christchurch taken for the Purposes of the Hurunui—Waitaki Railway (Christchurch—Lyttelton Branch).

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Christchurch—Lyttelton Branch of the Hurunui—Waitaki Railway to take further land at Christchurch in addition to land previously acquired for the purpose of the said railway :
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land :—

Situated in City of Christchurch. (S.O. 2445, red.)
In the Canterbury Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 4627, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 3rd day of May, 1937.

Altering the Boundaries of the Thames Valley Electric-power District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby alter the boundaries of the Thames Valley Electric-power District so as to include the area described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District comprising that portion of the Borough of Waihi bounded towards the west generally by the Waitete Stream from its confluence with the Ohinemuri River to its intersection with the northern boundary of Section 29, Block XV, Ohinemuri Survey District ; towards the north by a right line running due east to the north-western corner of Section 9, Block XV aforesaid ; towards the west by a right line 4500 links in length bearing 0° 21′, towards the north-east by a right line through Section 75 of the aforesaid Block XV to the south-western corner of a former reserve for water conservation about 810 links ; towards the north generally by that reserve through Sections 75 and 91 of the aforesaid Block XV, across a road, through Section 17 of Block XI of the aforesaid survey district, to the eastern boundary of the said Section 17 ; towards the west by the boundary of its intersection with the northern boundary of Section 1, Block XI aforesaid ; towards the north-west by a right line to the dam of the Martha Gold Mining Company (Waihi), Limited, on Walmsley’s Creek ; towards the north generally by the said creek to its confluence with the Ohinemuri River ; towards the east and south generally by that river to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Suburban Allotment 25 ; towards the south-east by a right line to the easternmost corner of that allotment ; towards the north-east by the road forming the north-eastern boundary-line of Suburban Allotment 24 and
