authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby vary certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said loan by prescribing as follows :-(1) In lieu of the term of twenty (20) years specified in clause one of the said Order in Council the term shall be ten (10) years.(2) In lieu of repayment as specified in clause three of the said Order in Council the said sum shall be repaid as follows :(a) By twenty equal payments of one hundred and sixty-eight pounds four shillings and twopence (£168 4s. 2d.), one of such payments to be made at the end of every half-year commencing from the date on which the said loan was borrowed. Each such half-yearly payment shall be applied firstly in payment of interest computed at the rate of three pounds ten shillings (£3 10s.) per centum per annum on the amount of the principal for the time being outstanding at the beginning of each half-year and the balance of such half-yearly payment in reduction of principal.(b) By a payment at the end of the tenth year from the date of the borrowing of the said loan of a sum equal to the amount to which the said principal has been reduced in accordance with the preceding paragraph (a) hereof after payment of the aforesaid twenty (20) half-yearly payments.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section three of the Masseurs Registration Act, 1920, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Ronald Thomas McLean to be a member of the Masseurs Registration Board under the aforesaid Act.As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 15th day of December, 1936.

Unalienated Crown Land in the Otago Mining District open for Sale.

PURSUANT to section forty-one of the Mining Act, 1926, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the unalienated Crown land within the Otago Mining District, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be open for sale by public auction to be held at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, at eleven o'clock a.m. on the twenty-fifth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, in the area, at the upset price, and on the terms set forth in the said Schedule.

OTAGO MINING DISTRICT.-OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.-TOWN OF OPDIR.
SECTION 2 and part Section 1, Block II : Area, 1 rood 9 perches. Upset price, £20.Weighted with £230 for improvements.
Description of Sections.The property is situated in the Town of Ophir, about two miles and a half from Omakau Railway-station. The area is very suitable for residential purposes. Water is available from town supply.Terms of Sale.Cash: One-fifth of the purchase-money to be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, with certificate-of-title fee (£1), within thirty days thereafter.
Weighting for Improvements.The weighting for improvements on the sections, comprising a wooden dwelling (in good order) of four rooms and scullery, with electric light and hot and cold water, and detached washhouse, is payable in cash.As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 5th day of January, 1937.
