A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as road the land in Whangape Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as road:-

Situated in Block XVI, Whangape Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 28239.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 93650 (sheet 1), deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this llth day of November, 1936.

Revoking the Setting-apart of Crown Land for Selection by Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the Marlborough Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section three of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Amendment Act, 1919, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation made on the third day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and published in the Gazette of the sixth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, setting apart lands for selection by discharged soldiers under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.-CROWN LAND.
SECTION 1, Block I, Heringa Survey District : Area, 708 acres.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this llth day of January, 1937.

Directing Sale of Railway Land at Island Cliff under the Public Works Act, 1928.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of January, 1937.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS by the thirty-fifth section of the Public Works Act, 1928 (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), it is enacted that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise howsoever, for any public work, is not required for such public work, the Governor-General may, by Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions set forth in the said Act:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and direct the sale of the .land described in the Schedule hereto.

Order in Council authorizing the Borrowing by the Blenheim Borough Council by way of Hypothecation of Debentures issued in respect of a Loan of £8,500.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of December, 1936.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the twenty-third day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, and subject to the determinations as to the borrowing and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the raising in New Zealand by the Blenheim Borough Council (hereinafter called "the said local authority") of the sum of eight thousand five hundred pounds (£8,500) (hereinafter called "the said loan") by a loan to be known as " Abattoir Loan, 1936":
And whereas the said local authority, pending the raising of the said loan in accordance with the said determinations, is desirous of borrowing the said sum or part thereof by hypothecation or mortgage pursuant to section thirty-four of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, of the debentures authorized to be issued in respect of the said loan;
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section seven of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932-33, and by section eight of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Amendment Act, 1933, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the said local authority, pending the raising of the said loan in accordance with the said determinations (by which, inter alia, the rate of interest to be inserted in the said debentures is limited to three pounds ten shillings (£3 10s.) per centum), borrowing the said sum of eight thousand five hundred pounds (£8,500) or any part thereof by the hypothecation or mortgage of the said debentures at a rate of interest not exceeding four pounds ten shillings (£4 10s.) per centum per annum, and hereby prescribes that the money borrowed by the hypothecation or mortgage of the said debentures shall, pending the raising of the said loan, be repaid by annual amounts equivalent to the instalments of principal which would have been repaid if on the first date on which any moneys are borrowed by such hypothecation the whole of the said sum of eight thousand five hundred pounds (£8,500) had been raised on the terms prescribed by the Order in Council made on the twenty-third day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six.
