Notice under the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Auckland intends to take under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of a public school the following land, namely:—

All those pieces of land situated in the Provincial District of Auckland containing together seven (7) acres one (1) rood and two (2) perches, more or less, being portion of Allotment one hundred and seventy (170) of Section ten (10), Suburbs of Auckland.

A plan of the said land is deposited at the post-office at Mount Albert and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.

All persons affected are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land and to send such writing within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the Education Board of the District of Auckland at its office in Wellesley Street, Auckland, C. 1.

MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Pakuranga Water-supply Extension Loan, 1936, of £4,700.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Manukau County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,700 authorized to be raised by the Manukau County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of laying water-mains and doing all other things necessary for the supply of water to properties in the Pakuranga Water-supply Extension Special Area in the Pakuranga Riding of the County of Manukau, the Manukau County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eleven-sixteenths of a penny (11/16d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) on all rateable property in the said Pakuranga Water-supply Extension Loan 1936 Special-rating Area, being the special-rating area more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

SCHEDULE.

All that area of land in the North Auckland Land District and County of Manukau situated in Block 10, Rangitoto Survey District, and Block 3, Otahuhu Survey District, and bounded commencing at the north-western corner of Section 57, Pakuranga Parish, at the Tamaki River foreshore; and thence towards the north generally by the northern boundary of Section 57 to the north-eastern corner of the said Section 57 at the Waiheke Passage foreshore; thence towards the north-east generally by the foreshore of the Waiheke Passage to the south-eastern corner of Lot 1 of Section 59, Pakuranga Parish, and by the eastern boundaries of Lots 1 and 2 of Section 59 to the south-eastern corner of Lot 2 of Section 59, Pakuranga Parish; thence towards the south generally by the south-western boundary of Lot 2 of Section 59 to the western corner of the said Lot 2 of Section 59, Pakuranga Parish, the crossing of a public road to the north-eastern corner of Lot 4A of Section part 58, Pakuranga Parish, and by the south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 4A to its south-eastern corner; by the southern boundaries of Lot 4A part Section 58 and Lot 4B part Section 58, Pakuranga Parish, to the Tamaki River foreshore, and by the said Tamaki River foreshore to the point of commencement.
