Prohibition of Issue of Money-orders and Transmission of
Postal Correspondence.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand
having reasonable ground for supposing that the persons
whose names and addresses are shown in the Schedule here-
under are engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery
or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section 32
of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, that no money-order
in favour of any of the said persons shall be issued, and that
no postal packet addressed to any of the said persons (either
by their own or any fictitious or assumed names), or directed
to either of the addresses mentioned in the Schedule hereunder
without a name, shall be registered or forwarded by the Post
Office of New Zealand.

Plant declared to be a Noxious Weed in the Ashburton County.—

THE following special order made by the Ashburton
County Council on the 9th day of April, 1937, is pub-
lished in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds
Act, 1928.

SPECIAL ORDER.

In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 4 of the
Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, the Ashburton County Council
resolves by way of special order as follows:—

“ That hemlock (Conium maculatum) be and is hereby
declared to be a noxious weed within the County of Ashburton.”

Plants declared to be Noxious Weeds, and Californian Thistle
declared not to be a Noxious Weed, in the County of Maurice-
ville.—(Notice No. Ag. 3465.)

County Council on the 10th day of April, 1937, is
published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious
Weeds Act, 1928.

SPECIAL ORDER.

In exercise of the powers conferred on it by sections 4 and
6 (1) of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, the Mauriceville County
Council hereby resolves and declares by way of special order
that the plants mentioned in the First Schedule hereto
(being plants mentioned in the First Schedule to the Noxious
Weeds Act, 1928, as extended from time to time by the
Governor-General in Council) are not noxious weeds within
the County of Mauriceville, and that the plants mentioned
in the Second Schedule hereto (being plants mentioned in
the Second Schedule of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, as
extended from time to time by the Governor-General in
Council) are noxious weeds within the said county. And
also that all previous resolutions passed by the said County
Council declaring any plants whatsoever to be noxious weeds
shall be and the same are hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

Canadian or Californian thistle.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

Hemlock, gorse, pennyroyal, and broom.

NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to and in exercise
of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by
section 23 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act,
1925, the registration of the Motueka District Master Carriers’
Industrial Union of Employers, registered number 1415,
situated at Motueka, will, unless cause to the contrary is
shown, be cancelled at the expiration of six weeks from the
date hereof.
