Vesting a Reserve in the Buller Hospital Board.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 23rd day of April, 1937.
Present:
THE HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for an addition to a site for a public hospital: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Buller Hospital Board:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Buller Hospital Board, in trust, for hospital purposes.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 52, Block III, Kawatiri Survey District: Area, 1 acre 0 roods 10 perches, more or less.

Vesting the Control of a Reserve in the Kohuratahi Public Hall Board.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 23rd day of April, 1937.
Present:
THE HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was, by Warrant dated the twenty-fourth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and published in Gazette of the first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, permanently reserved for a site for a public hall: And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said reserve should be vested in a special Board as hereinafter provided:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby vest the control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto for the period of five years from the date hereof (unless previously amended or revoked under the said Act) in the undermentioned persons, namely:—
Herbert William Claud Hight,
George Edward Stockwell,
Eric Donald Cleland,
John Henry Nickel, and
Donald James Law,
who are hereby constituted for that purpose a special Board by the name of the Kohuratahi Public Hall Board (hereinafter referred to as “the Board”), with the powers and subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say:—

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the second Monday in each month at eight o’clock p.m., at the Kohuratahi Public Hall, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Monday, the twelfth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven.

The members of the Board shall at their first meeting, and thereafter at the annual meeting hereinafter mentioned, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman, provided that two days’ notice of any such meeting is given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

Any three members of the Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose one of their number to be Chairman of such meeting.

If by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise the seat of any member shall be or become vacant, or if any member absents himself without reasonable cause from three consecutive meetings of the Board, the Governor-General shall have power to appoint any other person to be a member of the Board in his stead.

All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

The Board shall have prepared and submitted at an annual meeting to be held in the month of April in each year a report of the proceedings of the Board for the previous year ending on the thirty-first day of March, together with a statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister of Lands as soon as possible after each annual meeting.

The Board shall control the said reserve and the building erected thereon for the purposes of a public hall, and shall also afford settlers and residents of Kohuratahi and the surrounding district such facilities for meeting within the said hall as may from time to time be determined by the Board: Provided that the Board shall have power to fix reasonable charges for the use of the said hall.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.
SUBDIVISION 1 of Section 68, Block XIV, Pouatu Survey District: Area, 2 roods.

Vesting the Control of a Scenic Reserve in the Dunedin City Council.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby vest the control of the scenic reserve described in the Schedule hereto (being land reserved under the said Act) in the Dunedin City Council, subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say:—

The period for which the control of the reserve is hereby vested shall be five years from the date hereof, unless the reservation is previously altered or revoked under the said Act.

The said Council shall prepare a report each year ending on the thirty-first day of March, together with a statement of receipts and expenditure in connection with the said reserve. Such report and statement shall be sent to the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act as soon as possible after the close of the year.

The said Council shall control the said reserve in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the regulations made thereunder.
SCHEDULE.
EVANSDALE GLEN SCENIC RESERVE.—OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 30 acres 2 roods 37 perches, more or less, being Sections 88 and 89 and part of Sections 62 and 63, Block I, Waikouaiti Survey District. As the same is described in the Schedule to a Proclamation dated the 13th day of February, 1912, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 13, page 705, of the 15th day of February, 1912.
Also all that area, containing by admeasurement 12 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Section 96, Block I, Waikouaiti Survey District.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 23rd day of April, 1937.
