MANUREWA TOWN BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Manurewa Town Board hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £20,000 (twenty thousand pounds), authorized to be raised by the Manurewa Town Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing water-works and a water-supply for the Manurewa Town District, the said Manurewa Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-eighths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Manurewa Town District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed by the Manurewa Town Board at a meeting held on the 5th day of April, 1937.

“ That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and it is advisable that the company be wound up voluntarily.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928.

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Health Act, 1920.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, sanitary conveniences for the use of the public—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken : And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, situate in Bank Street, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours :

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Bank Street.
