Declaring Areas to be Closely Populated Localities for the
Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936,
Section 3.

IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment
Act, 1936, I, Robert Semple, Minister of Transport,
do hereby declare the respective areas described in the Schedule
hereto to be closely populated localities for the purposes of
the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-
vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the
public have access therein shall be subject to the maximum
speed-limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SCHEDULE.

Situated within Oxford County—

All that area adjoining Kaiapoi-Waddington via Rangiora
and Bennetts Main Highway No. 112, known as Main
Street, Oxford Township, from a point 5 chains east of
the junction of the main highway with High Street to
the junction of the main highway with Depot Road.

All that area adjoining Rangiora-Oxford via Loburn
Main Highway No. 111, known as High Street, Oxford
Township, from the junction of the main highway with
Main Street to the junction of the main highway with
McJarrow’s Road.

Classification of Road in Pahiatua County.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me
by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the
Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, I, Robert Semple,
Minister of Transport, do hereby declare that the road
described in the Schedule hereto, and situated in the Pahiatua
County, shall belong to the class of roads shown in the said
Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

PAHIATUA COUNTY.

ROAD classified in Class Three: Available for the use thereon
of any heavy motor-vehicle (other than a multi-axled heavy
motor-vehicle) which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not
more than 6½ tons, or any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle
which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than
10 tons:—

Greatford-Woodville Main Highway No. 55 (all that
portion within Pahiatua County).

Approval of Persons and Firms for Testing of Motor-vehicles.

IN terms of Regulation 11 of the Traffic Regulations, 1936,
I, Robert Semple, Minister of Transport, do hereby
notify my approval of the persons or firms described in the
Schedule hereto for the purpose of the issue of Warrants of
Fitness for motor-vehicles as provided for by the said
regulation.
