Member of the Lake Wakatipu Rabbit Board appointed.

Pursuant to the powers vested in me by section 37
of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, I, William Lee
Martin, Minister of Agriculture, do hereby appoint
Roland James McIntyre,
being an Inspector under Part I. of the said Act, to be a
member of the Lake Wakatipu Rabbit Board established
under the said Act, vice Donald Hearne Gunn, transferred.

Notice under the Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22, and its
Amendments, fixing the Closing-hours of Tobacconists' Shops
within the Borough of Rotorua.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority
of the occupiers of all the tobacconists' shops within
the Borough of Rotorua, has been forwarded to me desiring
that all such shops within the said borough be closed in the
evening of working-days as follows :-
From the 1st May to the 31st October (both days inclusive),
on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 6 p.m.,
and on Saturdays at 9 p.m. From the 1st November to the
30th April (both days inclusive), on Mondays, Tuesdays,
Thursdays, and Fridays at 8 p.m., and on Saturdays at
9 p.m., with the following exceptions :-
(1) During the period 20th December to 8th January
(both days inclusive), there shall be no fixed closing-
hour; and
(2) When any day which is generally observed as a public
holiday in the borough falls on a Saturday, then the
closing-hour on the Friday immediately preceding
such day shall be 9 p.m. :
And whereas I, Patrick Charles Webb, Acting Minister of
Labour, am satisfied that the signatures to such requisition
represent a majority of the occupiers of all the said shops
within the said borough :
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 32 of the Shops
and Offices Act, 1921-22, I do hereby direct that on and
after the 10th day of May, 1937, all the tobacconists' shops
within the Borough of Rotorua shall be closed accordingly :
The notice fixing the closing-hours of tobacconists' shops
within the Borough of Rotorua and the notice prohibiting
the sale within the Borough of Rotorua of certain goods
comprised in the trade of a tobacconist, published in the
New Zealand Gazette of the 10th July, 1930, are hereby can-
celled as from the date of coming into operation of this
notice.
