Land in Wellington Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Wellington, 31st March, 1937.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land
will be offered for sale by public auction for cash at
the District Lands and Survey Office, State Fire Building,
Wellington, on Monday, 3rd May, 1937, at 2.30 o’clock p.m.,
under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LAND.

Kaitieke County.—Town of Owhango.

SECTION 19, Block III: Area, 1 rood. Upset price, £10.
Weighted with the sum of £8 10s. (payable in cash) for
improvements, consisting of fencing and grassing.

A level section all in grass, situated a quarter of a mile
from Owango Post-office, one mile from Owango Railway-
station, and ten chains from the school. The soil is of light
quality resting on pumice foundation.

Land in Otago Land District for Selection on Optional Tenure.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Dunedin, 31st March, 1937.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section
is open for selection on optional tenure under the
Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the
District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, up to 4 o’clock
p.m. on Monday, the 10th May, 1937.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at
the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Wednesday,
the 12th May, 1937, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant
is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land
Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants.

SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—THIRD-CLASS LAND.

Clutha County.—Rimu Survey District.

(Exempt from the payment of rent or interest for four years.)

SECTION 29, Block XIV: Area, 176 acres 2 roods 24 perches.
Capital value, £50. Deposit on deferred payments, £5; half-
yearly instalment on deferred payments, £1 9s. 3d. Renew-
able lease: Half-yearly rent, £1.

The section is situated about two miles from Puketiro
Railway-station, School, and Post-office, on the Puketiro-
Kahuika Road. The section is broken and backlying; about
140 acres is in standing bush consisting mostly of kami,
balance felled. The soil is of a light peaty loam resting on
clay and rock bottom; watered by creeks.

Special Condition.—(1) After payment of first half-year’s
rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee, or deposit on deferred
payments (as the case may be), no further rent, or such
parts of the instalments on deferred payment as consist of
interest, will be demanded for four years.

(2) In addition to the improvements required under the
Land Act the lessee shall, during the term of exemption
from payment of rent or interest as the case may be (four
years), effect additional improvements to the value of £10
per annum, such improvements to comprise clearing of
second-growth and sowing in grass.

Second and final dividend of 4d. in the pound, making

containing 1 acre 2 roods 25 perches, being Section 328 of
the Town of Featherston, and being part of the land com-
prised in certificate of title, Vol. 294, folio 17 (Wellington
Registry), of which JOSIAH VILES, of Featherston, Settler,
is the registered lessee, I hereby give notice that I will register
such re-entry as requested at the expiration of one month
from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.
