NAPIER RADIO CO., LTD.

IN LIQUIDATION.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933, it was resolved on the 17th day of March, 1937—

  1. That the company be wound up voluntarily.

  2. That GORDON COSGROVE LAWS, of Napier, Public Accountant, be nominated and appointed liquidator for the purpose of winding up the affairs and distributing the assets of the company.

And pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act, 1933, a meeting of the creditors of the company be held at the offices of Messrs. Harvey and Laws, Public Accountants, Tennyson Street, Napier, on Wednesday, the 31st day of March, 1937, at 2.15 p.m.

HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Hamilton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,300 authorized to be raised by the Hamilton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing sewer drains, storm-water drains, water-mains, and services, including the costs of all necessary labour and materials for plans and supervision, the said Hamilton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four and one-half pence (4½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property in the Richmond area, being that portion of the Waipa County which was added to the Borough of Hamilton as at the 1st day of July, 1936, and is fully described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 43 of the 2nd day of July, 1936, at page 1259, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Hamilton Borough Council held on the 17th day of March, 1937.

NOTICE is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Otago and Southland District, dated the 9th day of March, 1937, confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from £20,000 to £10,000 divided into 20,000 shares of 10s. each, paid up to 6s. per share, and the minute approved by the Court showing with respect to the capital of the company as altered the several particulars required by the above statute, were registered by the Assistant Registrar of Companies at Dunedin on the 17th day of March, 1937.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of CARSWELL AND COMPANY, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that by an order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand dated the 12th day of March, 1937, the capital of Carswell and Company, Limited, has been reduced from £22,000 to £12,755, and the said order and a minute of same has been duly registered under section 70 (1) of the above-mentioned Act. The minute of such reduction is as follows :—

“The capital of Carswell and Company, Limited, is £12,755 divided into 12,150 first preference shares of £1 each, 1,500 preference shares of 2s. 6d. each, and 8,350 ordinary shares of 1s. each, reduced from £22,000 divided into 12,150 first preference shares of £1 each, 1,500 preference shares of £1 each, and 8,350 ordinary shares of £1 each. At the time of the registration of this minute the sum of £1 per share has been and is deemed to be paid up on 12,079 of the said first preference shares, 71 of the said first preference shares are unissued, the sum of 2s. 6d. per share has been and is deemed to be paid up on the said 1,500 preference shares, and the sum of 1s. per share has been and is deemed to be paid up on the said 8,350 ordinary shares.”
