In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the
matter of NEILL AND CO., LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that the order of the Supreme
Court of New Zealand dated the 9th day of March,
1937, confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-
named company from £60,000 to £50,000, and the minute
approved by the Court showing with respect to the capital
of the company as altered the several particulars required
by the above statute, was registered by the Assistant Registrar
of Companies at Dunedin on the 11th day of March, 1937.
The said minute is in the words and figures following :—

“ The capital of Neill and Co., Limited, henceforth is reduced
from the former capital of £60,000 divided into 60,000 shares
of £1 each to £50,000 divided into 60,000 shares of 16s. 8d.
each. At the time of the registration of this minute the full
sum of 16s. 8d. has been and is to be deemed paid up on each
of the said 60,000 shares of 16s. 8d. each.”

Univ. of N.Z., 1937, now residing in Napier, hereby
give notice that I intend applying on the 10th April next
to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the
Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the
evidence of my qualification in the office of the Department
of Health at Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of sections 230
and 252 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general
meeting of the members of the above-named company will
be held at the office of the liquidator, Mr. J. L. Arcus, 23
Waring-Taylor Street, Wellington, on Monday, the 5th day
of April, 1937, at 4.30 p.m., for the purpose of having an account
laid before them showing the manner in which the winding
up has been conducted and the property of the company
disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given
by the liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary
resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and
documents of the company and of the liquidator thereof
shall be disposed of.

NOTICE is hereby given that Wellington Trade Lynotype
Service, Limited, has changed its name to Wellington
Trade Linotype Service, Limited, and that the new name
was this day entered on my Register of Companies in place
of the former name.

TE AROHA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and
all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Te Aroha
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing for the interest,
sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £800 authorized
to be raised by the Te Aroha Borough Council under the
above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting an abattoir
cottage, the said Te Aroha Borough Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of three-eighths of a penny (¾d.) in
the pound upon the rateable annual value of all rateable
property in the Borough of Te Aroha, and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
such loan and be payable on the first day of August in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of twenty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

16 pages or part thereof ; postage, 1d.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line
for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and
any subsequent insertions.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening
of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by
the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding
publication.
