NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of shareholders
will be held at the Victoria Insurance Buildings,
37 Shortland Street, Auckland, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, the
3rd day of April, 1937, for the purpose of having an account
laid before the company showing the manner in which the
winding up has been conducted and the property of the com-
pany disposed of.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR PURPOSES OF A
GRAVEL-PIT.
NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance of the powers
vested in local authorities by and of the provisions
contained in the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act,
1928, the Kairanga County Council, a County Council
incorporated under the Counties Act, and having its office at
Rangitikei Street, Palmerston North, intends at the expiration
of forty (40) days from the 3rd day of March, 1937, being the
date of first publication of this notice; to take under the Public
Works Act, 1928, that piece or parcel of land more particu-
larly described in the schedule hereunder written and as
shown on a plan of the said piece of land coloured red, which
said plan is deposited in the public office of the said Kairanga
County Council, and is there open for inspection (without
fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.
The public work proposed to be executed by the Council is
the creation of a gravel-pit.
And take notice that all persons affected by the construction
of the said public work or to the taking of the said land are
required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objection
to the execution of such public work or to the taking of such
land, and to send such writing within forty (40) days from the
said 3rd day of March, 1937, to the said Kairanga County
Council addressed to the County Clerk at the County Office,
Rangitikei Street, Palmerston North.

Area of land required to be taken : 2 acres 2 roods, being
portion of Rural Section 176, situated in Block XV, Kairanga
Survey District, shown on plan marked 3234, Registration
District of Township of Fitzherbert, situated in the County
of Kairanga.

of the above company will be held in the office of the
liquidators, Edinburgh House, 29 Bond Street, Dunedin, on
Monday, 5th April, 1937, at 4 p.m., to enable the liquidators
to submit their accounts showing how the winding up has been
conducted and the property of the company has been disposed
of and give any explanation thereof.

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE OF ONE-FARTHING (½d.)
IN THE POUND AS SECURITY FOR THE INTEREST AND SINK-
ING FUND AND THE REPAYMENT OF THE WATERWORKS
SUPPLEMENTARY LOAN OF £13,000.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the
Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows :-
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a supplementary loan of thirteen thousand pounds
(£13,000) authorized to be raised by the Dunedin City Council
under the above-mentioned Act to complete the Deep Creek
water scheme for which a loan of £180,000 was authorized by
the ratepayers, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of one-farthing (½d.) in the pound
upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of
all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the
whole of the City of Dunedin, and that such special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan
and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of
the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on Monday,
1st March, 1937.

NOTICE is hereby given that the order of the Supreme
Court of New Zealand at Christchurch dated the
5th day of March, 1937, confirming the reduction of capital
of the above-named company from £4,500 to £300 and the
minute approved by the Court showing with respect to the
capital of the company as ordered the several particulars
required by the above statute were registered by the Registrar
of Companies on the 9th day of March, 1937: And further
take notice that the said minute is in the words and figures
following :-
“The capital of the United Pictures, Limited, is £300
divided into 12,000 shares of 6d. each numbered 1 to 12,000
consecutively. At the time of the registration of this minute
the following shares have been issued and have been and are
deemed to be paid up as follows : 12,000 shares of 6d. each
numbered 1 to 12,000 consecutively all fully paid up.”
