NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with the provisions of section 188 (4) of the Mining Act, 1926, that the mining privileges held under the licenses mentioned in the Schedule hereto have this day been struck off the Register.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Lands in Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 10th March, 1937.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o'clock a.m. on Tuesday, 30th March, 1937.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Thursday, 1st April, 1937, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined documentary evidence of their financial position, such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms, or from private persons or parents undertaking to give financial assistance. Persons undertaking to assist financially should state to what extent they are prepared to do so and supply guarantees of their own financial position.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, lease and mortgage fees, and deposit in reduction of improvement loading.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—SECOND-CLASS LANDS.
Otorohanga County.—Ranginui Survey District.
(Exempt from payment of rent for five years.*)
SECTION 19, Block II.: Area, 475 acres 3 roods 19 perches. Capital value, £245 ; half-yearly rent, £4 18s.
Weighted with £497 10s. for improvements, comprising dwelling of five rooms and bathroom, yards, clearing and grassing, road-boundary fencing, internal fencing, and half-share in boundary-fencing. This sum is payable in cash, or, after payment of a deposit of £7 10s., the balance of £490 over a period of twenty years by means of forty half-yearly instalments of £19 13s. 3d. each, principal and interest.
A grazing property situated on the Wharepuhunga Road four miles from Ngaroma Post-office and School and thirty-four miles from Te Awamutu Railway-station and Dairy Factory ; access by means of metalled road. Undulating to hilly and broken land of which approximately 400 acres have been felled and grassed (rapidly reverting), balance in natural state of standing bush. Ragwort requires attention.
- After payment of the required deposit no rent will be charged for a period of five years provided that a sum equivalent to the concession granted is expended each year in effecting permanent improvements to the land.

Otorohanga County.—Wharepapa Survey District.
(Exempt from payment of rent for five years.*)
Section 7, Block XIV : Area, 701 acres. Capital value, £350 ; half-yearly rent, £7.
Weighted with £320 for improvements, comprising dwelling of three rooms and bathroom, clearing and grassing, road-boundary fencing, internal fencing, and half-share in boundary-fencing. This sum is payable in cash, or, after payment of a deposit of £10, the balance of £310 as follows :
(a) The sum of £195 to remain on instalment mortgage to the Lands and Survey Department, payable over a period of twenty years by means of half-yearly instalments of principal and interest combined. In the case of a New Zealand discharged soldier the interest rate will be 5 per cent. and the half-yearly instalment £7 15s. 4d., and in the case of a civilian the interest rate will be 5½ per cent. and the half-yearly instalment £8 2s.
(b) The sum of £115 payable to the Lands and Survey Department over a period of fifteen years by means of thirty half-yearly instalments of £5 10s. 9d. each.
A grazing property situated on the Wharepuhunga-Ngaroma Road one mile from Ngaroma Post-office and School and thirty-one miles from Te Awamutu Railway-station and Dairy Factory ; access by metalled road. Mostly hilly land broken at the back of which approximately 250 acres have been felled and grassed but now wholly reverted, balance in natural state of standing bush. Ragwort requires immediate attention.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924 ; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, 11th May, 1937.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, on Thursday, 13th May, 1937, at 10 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined documentary evidence of their financial position,
