DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership hitherto subsisting between the undersigned as medical practitioners in Hastings has been dissolved as from the 28th day of February, 1937. Accounts owing to the late firm of Drs. Wilson and Moller may be paid to either of the partners and his receipt will be a sufficient discharge.

SALTERS TRANSPORT AND STORAGE, LIMITED.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

AT a meeting of shareholders of Salters Transport and Storage, Limited, held on the 25th February, 1937, the following special resolution was carried :—

“It is hereby by special resolution resolved that Salters Transport and Storage, Limited, be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. NORMAN ALEXANDER DUTHIE, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be appointed liquidator.”

AKAROA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that a poll to determine a proposal to adopt the system of rating on the basis of the unimproved value in the Borough of Akaroa was held on Friday, 5th February, 1937, the proposal being declared lost. The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 41, against the proposal 47, informal, nil.

HAWERA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and section 14 of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1936, the Council of the Borough of Hawera hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of interest and other charges of a loan of £5,200 authorized to be raised by the Hawera Borough Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of improving and reconditioning the existing water-main and providing and installing additional pumping plant in connection therewith and other requisites and for the relief of unemployment, the said Hawera Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three hundred and sixteen one-thousandths (316/1,000th) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Hawera, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of the month of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Hawera Borough Council at a meeting held on the 26th day of February, 1937.

CENTRAL HAWKE’S BAY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

£10,000 Supplementary Loan, 1936.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and all other Acts and powers (if any) enabling it in that behalf (an Order in Council under the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and section 9 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Amendment Act, 1934, having been obtained), the Central Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of interest and the annual redemption of a debenture the said Central Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-fourth of a penny (1/24d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the district comprising the counties of Patangata, Waipawa, and Waipukurau, and the boroughs of Waipukurau and Waipawa, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities and be payable yearly on the 1st day of March in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the 1st day of March, 1952, or until all such securities are fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Central Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board held at Waipukurau on 19th February, 1937.

WAIRERE ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance of public notice duly given and in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Rating Act, 1925, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, the Finance Act, 1936 (No. 2), and all other Acts empowering, the Wairere Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the loan of seventeen thousand pounds (£17,000) authorized to be raised by the Wairere Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of the further reticulation of the said Wairere Electric-power Board District, and for carrying out such other works, undertakings, and purposes as are authorized as aforesaid, the said Wairere Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-farthings (¾d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Wairere Electric-power Board District, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period not exceeding twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off, at the Board’s offices at Piopio to Stanley James Aston, the Board’s Collector, or to such person as may from time to time be appointed to collect the same.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Wairere Electric-power Board held on the 27th day of February, 1937.

NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of section 232 of the Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at the office of Messrs. Watkins, Hull, Wheeler, and Johnston, 39 Johnston Street, Wellington, on the 22nd day of March, 1937, at 12 o’clock noon, for the purpose of having the accounts laid before them showing the manner in which the winding up has been conducted and the property disposed of, and for determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the liquidator shall be disposed of.
