A PROCLAMATION.
I N pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the portion of road in Cheviot Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 1 rood 20-7 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Reserves 3168 and 3169 and Crown land, Town of Mackenzie.
Situated in Block VII, Cheviot Survey District (Canterbury R.D.). (S.P. 2430.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 94760, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of February, 1937.

WHEREAS it is provided by section three of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, that any area or areas may be constituted an electric-power district or outer area under the said Act in the manner therein provided:
And whereas a petition praying that the area described in the First Schedule hereto may be constituted an electric-power district under the said Act was presented to the Governor-General on the eighteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven:
And whereas the procedure by the said Act required to be complied with antecedent to the presentation of such petition to the Governor-General had been complied with except that the petition had not been signed by one-fourth of the rate-payers of the proposed constituent district of part of the County of Hokianga:
