Notice to Persons affected by Application for License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

I HEREBY give notice that an application has been received for a license to retail petrol at the corner of the Main South Road and Pollen Street, Thames. Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau in respect of this application and who wishes to make representations accordingly must furnish such representations in writing to the undersigned prior to the 11th March, 1937.

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

I HEREBY give notice that the following applications for licenses to retail petrol have been received : (a) a new station to be erected on the corner of Molesworth Street and Tinakori Road, Wellington; (b) an installation of two additional pumps at a new station in Waterloo Quay, Wellington; (c) an installation of an additional pump at a petrol station at 74 Abel Smith Street, Wellington ; (d) an installation of an additional pump at a garage at 53-55 Ballance Street, Wellington ; (e) an installation of two additional pumps at the Central Garage, Eastbourne, Wellington ; (f) a transfer of a petrol-reselling station from a position known as the Railway Corner, Main Road, Otaki, to a new position situated at the corner of Main Road and Mill Road, Otaki. Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau in respect to any of these applications and who wishes to make representations accordingly must furnish such representations in writing to the undersigned prior to the 18th March, 1937.

Position : Lat., 36° 36'.81 S.; long., 175° 26'.15 E. (140° 2½ cables from Otautu Point approx.). Chart 1896.
Details : A rock with a depth of 3¼ ft. at M.L.W.S. has been located in the above position.

Notice to Mariners No. 8 of 1937.
Marine Department,
Wellington, N.Z., 22nd February, 1937.
NEW ZEALAND.-NORTH ISLAND.
Auckland Harbour : Cable Repairs.
NOTICE is hereby given that the telegraph cables between Depot Point and Resolution Point will be under repair from the 22nd February until about the end of March. The repair work will be done from punts exhibiting the following shapes and lights:- By day : In a vertical line one over the other, not less than 6 ft. apart, three shapes not less than 2 ft. in diameter, of which the highest and lowest shall be globular in shape and red in colour, and the middle one diamond in shape and white. By night : Three lights in a vertical line one over the other, not less than 6 ft. apart and visible all round. The highest and lowest of these lights shall be red and the middle light shall be white.
Masters, yachtsmen, and others in charge of vessels are warned to keep clear of the punts.

Notice to Mariners No. 9 of 1937.
Marine Department,
Wellington, N.Z., 22nd February, 1937.
NEW ZEALAND.-NORTH ISLAND.-PORT NICHOLSON.
Point Howard Shoal : Buoys replaced by Beacons.
Position : (1) 201° 1,160 ft., (2) 202°.5 1,540 ft. from lights on southern end of Point Howard Wharf. Lat., 41° 15' S.; long., 174° 54' E. (approx.).
Details : Two single-pile beacons, painted red, each in a depth of 26 ft. M.L.W.S., have been erected in the above positions to mark the northern and western extremities of the 3-fathom shoal the centre of which lies 197° 1,430 ft. from the wharf lights.
The four buoys formerly marking the shoal have been discontinued.

Revocation of Willingness to undertake Insurance Business under the Motor-vehicles Insurance (Third-party Risks) Act, 1928.

IN accordance with the provisions of subsection (6) of section 4 of the Motor-vehicles Insurance (Third-party Risks) Act, 1928, notice is hereby given that the General Accident Fire and Life Assurance Corporation, Ltd., has given me notice of revocation of its willingness to undertake insurance business in terms of the above-mentioned Act as from the 1st day of June, 1937.
