Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four hundred and eighty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1931, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road described in the Schedule hereto.

In the Gisborne Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/901A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2786, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of February, 1937.

Settlement Land in North Auckland Land District proclaimed to be Ordinary Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section forty-nine of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, as amended by subsection one of section ten of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1935, it is enacted that the Governor-General may by Proclamation declare any settlement land to be, inter alia, ordinary Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924 :
And whereas the parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto are settlement land within the meaning of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925 :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so conferred upon me by the aforesaid section forty-nine, amended as aforesaid, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date of the gazetting hereof the parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto shall be ordinary Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 rood 16 perches, being portion of Section 2s, Puketi Settlement, bounded on the north-west by a public road, distance 550·3 links, bearing 69° 27′, and on the east and south generally by Section 28 of Block XV, Kaeo Survey District, distance 181·3 links, bearing 204° 58′, distance 440·2 links, bearing 266° 13′.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 26 perches, being portion of Section 2s, Puketi Settlement, bounded on the north-west by a public road, distance 343·1 links, bearing 69° 27′, and on the south-east and south-west generally by Section 28, Block XV, Kaeo Survey District aforesaid, distance 254·4 links, bearing 227° 47′, distance 142·0 links, bearing 290° 54′.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 15th day of February, 1937.

THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority contained in section three of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby alter the boundaries of the Steward Settlement Water-race District by including in such district the area of land described in the First Schedule hereto ; and doth hereby declare that the boundaries of the said drainage district, with such alteration as herein provided for, shall be those described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.
AREA INCLUDED IN STEWARD SETTLEMENT WATER-RACE DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District containing by admeasurement 52 acres 1 rood 35 perches, more or less, and being Section 25, Block VIII, Papakaio Survey District : Bounded towards the north by Section 55A, Steward Settlement, 3378·1 links ; towards the south-east by Main Highway, 2020 links ; towards the south by a public road, 2457 links ; and towards the west by a public road, 1800 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

SECOND SCHEDULE.
STEWARD SETTLEMENT WATER-RACE DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District being Sections 1A to 21A, 23A to 48A, 50A to 59A, 61A to 82A, Steward Settlement, and Section 18, Block IV, and Section 25, Block VIII, Papakaio Survey District. As the same is more particularly shown on the plan marked L. and S. 19330, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged blue.

PURSUANT to section two hundred and forty-six of the Native Land Act, 1931, and all other powers him enabling, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the alienation by way of sale to, and the acquisition by, N.Z. Perpetual Forests, Limited, of the lands described in the Schedule hereto, notwithstanding the provisions of Part XII of the Native Land Act, 1931.
