COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.

SPECIAL RESOLUTION.

Made on 20th day of January, 1937.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and amendments thereto, and the Finance Act, 1933 (No. 2), section 45, the Cook County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £310 authorized to be raised by the Cook County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the metalling of portion of the Bushy Knoll Road, the said Cook County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seventeen-eighteenths of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Bushy Knoll Road-metalling Special-rating Area, comprising Lot 1, S.G.R. 32, Blocks IV and X, Hangaroa Survey District; Lot 2, S.G.R. 41, Blocks IX and X, Hangaroa Survey District; Lot 1, S.G.R. 63, Block XI, Hangaroa Survey District; Taurwharetoi 3a, Block XIV, Hangaroa Survey District; Lots I, 20, 25, 26 (Forest Reserve), 27, 28, Block X, Hangaroa Survey District; Lots 29-33, 36, 38, 39, Block XI, Hangaroa Survey District; Lots 23, 24, 25, Block XIV, Hangaroa Survey District; Lots 5-6, 7-13, 16 19, 21, 22, 2 of 22, D.P. 2295, 34, 37, Block XV, Hangaroa Survey District; Lot 51, Block XVI, Hangaroa Survey District; and Lots 37, 38, 39, 40, 42, 44, 45-47, 50, 51-53, 54, 55, 56, part 57, 58, 59, 60, 61-62, 63-64, 65-70, Tiniroro Village; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be three and one-half per cent.”

I, GORDON LIONEL ROMLEY, heretofore called and known by the name of GORDON LIONEL BOLAND, of Whakarongo, Farmer, hereby give public notice that on the 3rd day of February, 1937, I formally and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the use of my said surname of Boland, and then assumed and adopted and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the surname of Romley instead of the said surname of Boland, and I give further notice that by deed poll dated the 3rd day of February, 1937, duly executed and attested and enrolled in the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Wellington District, Palmerston North Registry, I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said surname of Boland and declared that I had assumed and adopted and intended thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the surname of Romley instead of Boland and so as to be at all times thenceforth called, known, and described by the surname of Romley exclusively.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Waitaki Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges of the loan of £15,000 authorized to be raised by the Waitaki Electric-power Board for the construction of additional transmission and distribution lines and substations, the said Waitaki Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-fourth penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property (on the basis of the capital value) of the Waitaki Electric-power District as defined by Proclamation dated 9th August, 1923, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
