Land in Auckland Land District for Selection on Optional
Tenures.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 10th February, 1937.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section
is open for selection on optional tenures under the
Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the
Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up
to 11 o'clock a.m. on Monday, 22nd February, 1937.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at
the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on
Wednesday, 24th February, 1937, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but
if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by
any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown
Lands.
Applicants are required to produce for inspection when
examined documentary evidence of their financial position,
such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from
managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms,
or from private persons or parents undertaking to give financial
assistance. Persons undertaking to assist financially should
state to what extent they are prepared to do so and supply
guarantees of their own financial position.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of
the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant
is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a
deposit comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period
rent, lease fee, and improvement loading.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—THIRD-CLASS LAND.
Waikato County.—Whangarei Survey District.
SECTION 5, Block X : Area, 259 acres. Capital value, £110.
Deposit on deferred payments, £5: Half-yearly instalment
on deferred payments, £3 8s. 3d. Renewable lease: Half-
yearly rent, £2 4s.
Weighted with £120 (to be paid in cash) for improvements,
comprising dwelling of two rooms, cow-shed, clearing and
grassing and fencing.
This property, which is suitable for limited dairying oper-
ations and grazing purposes, is situated in the Waikawau
District, twenty-two miles from Awakino Post-office, one
mile and a half from Waikawau School, twenty-six miles from
Mokau Dairy Factory, and seventy miles from Te Kuiti
Railway-station ; access by metalled road from Awakino.
The greater part of the land is steep and broken hills but
there are 35 acres of flats. Approximately 35 acres good
pasture (little ragwort in evidence), 115 acres of worn-out
pasture, balance in natural state of standing bush.

is open for selection on optional tenures under the
Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the
District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, up to 4 o'clock p.m.
on Tuesday, 6th April, 1937.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at
the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, on Thursday,
8th April, 1937, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant
is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land
Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
Applicants are required to produce for inspection when
examined documentary evidence of their financial position,
such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from

  • Improvements included in the capital value consist of a
    few pine-trees.
    Situated on the main Nelson-Motueka Road at Braeburn.
    Access is from Motueka, nine miles distant, by good road.
    Undulating land in manuka, gorse, and a few odd pine-trees.
    The soil is very poor, resting on Moutere-clay formation ;
    watered by one small swamp in middle of section.

    Land in Otago Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

    Dunedin, 10th February, 1937.
    NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land
    will be offered for sale for cash by public auction at
    the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Friday,
    19th March, 1937, at 2.30 o'clock p.m., under the provisions
    of the Land Act, 1924.
    SCHEDULE.
    OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LAND.
    Borough of Oamaru.—Town of Oamaru.
    SECTION 30, Block XII : Area, 1 rood. Upset price, £80.
    The section is situated in Nen Street, in a good locality,
    about one mile from Oamaru Post-office and half a mile from
    Oamaru Railway-station. The section lies about 2½ ft. below
    the level of the road, but if built up would make a good building-
    site.

    NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land
    will be offered for lease by public auction at the District
    Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, on Tuesday, 23rd
    March, 1937, at 2.30 o'clock p.m., under the provisions of the
    Land Act, 1924.

    SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SUBURBAN LAND.
    Southland County.—Town of Limehills.
    SECTION 7, Block XXXI : Area, 9 acres 1 rood 20 perches.
    Upset annual rental, £5 5s.
    About 3 acres has been felled, cleared, and cultivated, the
    balance of the area comprising scrub and spreading gorse.
    Suitable for grazing cattle.
