Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Anzac Park Domain.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of January, 1936.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

Frank Elliott,
James Donaldson,
James Francis Brown,
James Angus Sutherland MacKay,
Ernest Gervase William Tibbits, and
John Horatio Hayward

to be the Anzac Park Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Friday, the seventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, at ten o’clock a.m., as the time when, and the Whangarei County Council Office, Whangarei, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

ANZAC PARK DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 15 acres 2 roods 28 perches, more or less, being Lot 1 of a subdivision of portion of Raumanga Nos. 1 and 2 Blocks, situated in Block XII, Purua Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on a public road at the southern boundary of Tarewa Block, towards the north generally by the said Tarewa Block, 267·5 and 654·2 links, to Lot 2 of a subdivision of portion of Raumanga Nos. 1 and 2 Blocks; thence towards the east and south generally by the said Lot 2, 222·5, 381·4, 291·8, 475·4, 43·2, 171·1, 500·9, 187·5, and 621 links, to a public road; thence towards the west generally by said public road, 1170·3 and 494·8 links, to the point of commencement: Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

Archibald Donald Nicholson,
Archibald Wallace,
George Gunson,
Ewen Hugh Mathieson, and
Selby Brooke Murray,

to be the Horohoro-Ngakuru Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the third day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, at half past seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Ngakuru School as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—HOROHORO-NGAKURU DOMAIN.
SECTION 14, Block XIV, Horohoro Survey District: Area, 18 acres 2 roods 37 perches, more or less.

Granting Temporary Exemption from Section 50 (4) of the Friendly Societies Act, 1909.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of January, 1936.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

PURSUANT to section fifty-five of the Finance Act, 1931 (No. 4), as amended by section thirty of the Finance Act, 1935 (No. 2), His Excellency the Governor-General, being of opinion that compliance with the provisions of subsection four of section fifty of the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, by the Auckland District of the New Zealand Branch of the Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows Friendly Society, being a registered branch within the meaning of the last-named Act (hereinafter called “the said branch”), in respect of the period of two years ending on the thirty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, would impose undue hardship on the said branch, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby grant to the said branch exemption to the extent hereinafter set out from the obligations of the said subsection four in respect of the period aforesaid—that is to say, that in lieu of the interest at the rate of not less than four per centum per annum payable by the said branch into any benefit fund of the said branch in terms of the said subsection four it shall be sufficient compliance with the obligations of the said subsection four relating to moneys forming part of any benefit fund of the said branch invested in the purchase of the land referred to in the Schedule hereto and/or the erection of offices or buildings on the said land if there be paid by the said branch into any such benefit fund as aforesaid by way of interest for the period of two years aforesaid a sum equal to the net amount received by the said branch by way of rents and premiums paid (whether before, during, or after the period of two years aforesaid) for any lease, letting, or other tenancy or license of or relating to any part of the said premises during the period of two years aforesaid, and by way of any other revenue obtained from the said premises during the period of two years aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece of land situated at the corner of Victoria Street and Hobson Street, in the City of Auckland, together with the building erected thereon known as the Manchester Unity Building.
