Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Domett Domain.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of December, 1936.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

Alexander McArthur Hyde,
Benjamin Bernard Martin,
Harry Geeson,
James Paton,
Leslie Frank Teague,
Harvey Taylor, and
James Upritchard

to be the Domett Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Friday, the eighth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, at three o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Domett Hall as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

DOMETT DOMAIN.—CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

RESERVE No. 3177, Cheviot Estate, Block XIX, Lowry Peaks Survey District: Area, 11 acres 1 rood.

Also Reserve No. 3241, Cheviot Estate, Block XVI, Lowry Peaks Survey District: Area, 8 acres 3 roods 38 perches.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

to be the Tokaanu Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the twelfth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, at eleven-thirty o’clock a.m., as the time when, and the Tokaanu Hall as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

Member appointed to the Owhango Public Hall and Library Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of December, 1936.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five, and published in the Gazette of the fourth day of that month, the control of Section 17, Block I, Town of Owhango, Wellington Land District, a reserve for a site for a public hall and library, was vested in certain persons therein named, who were by the said Order in Council constituted a special Board, by the name of the “Owhango Public Hall and Library Board,” in pursuance of section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928:

And whereas it is desirable that Walter Fursdon, of Owhango, should be appointed a member of the said Board, in place of Edwin Percival Gatchell, who has resigned:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby appoint the said

Walter Fursdon

to be a member of the Owhango Public Hall and Library Board constituted by the Order in Council dated the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five, hereinbefore referred to, in place of the said Edwin Percival Gatchell who has resigned.

Order in Council consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £4,000 by the Clutha County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 30th day of November, 1936.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Clutha County Council (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) proposes pursuant to the provisions of subsection three of section one hundred and thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, to raise a sum of four thousand pounds (£4,000) by a loan to be known as “Clydevale Bridge Loan, 1936” (hereinafter called “the said loan”), for the purpose of meeting the Council’s share of the cost of erecting the Clydevale Bridge:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising in New Zealand by the said local authority of the said loan or any part thereof for the said purpose, and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows:—

(1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be five (5) years.

(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding three pounds ten shillings (£3 10s.) per centum per annum.

(3) The said loan or any part thereof together with interest thereon shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the term as determined in (1) above.

(4) The payment of such instalments shall be made in New Zealand, and no such instalment shall be paid out of loan-money.

(5) The rate payable for brokerage, underwriting, and procurement fees in respect of the borrowing of the said loan or any part thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed one-half per centum of any amount raised.

(6) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.
