CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 1st December, 1936.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 11th January, 1937.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 13th January, 1937, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.

SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Manukau County.—Awanui Parish.
(Exempt from payment of rent for a period of five years.*)
ALLOTMENT 6: Area, 263 acres 2 roods 30 perches. Capital value, £165; half-yearly rent, £3 6s.
This property, which comprises poor-quality land suitable only for working in conjunction with other land in the vicinity, is situated on Quarry road, three miles from Awanui Port and Dairy Factory by two miles of metalled road, balance partly formed. Small area in broken gullies and rough feed, balance table-land in wet condition, but can be drained. Covered in short wiwi, scrub, and tea-tree. Flat has been badly gum-holed but mostly shallow holes, capable of being ploughed out. Soil of a sandy nature of poor quality resting on a cement-pan formation; poorly watered by springs. Altitude 20 ft. to 100 ft. above sea-level.
*The rental exemption is conditional upon improvements to the value of the exempted rent being effected annually in addition to the requirements under the Land Act.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for sale by public auction for cash at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Thursday, 14th January, 1937, at 11 o’clock a.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—THIRD-CLASS LAND.
Rotorua County.—Rototii Survey District.
Lot 16 of Section 12, Block V: Area, 44 acres 3 roods 16 perches. Upset price, £20.
The property is totally unimproved and is situated on Hamurana Road seven miles from Ngongotaha Railway-station, Post-office, and the Dairy Factory; access by metalled and formed pumice road from Rotorua. Hilly and broken land with outcrops of stony bluffs, and covered with fern and tutu with patches of bush in the gullies; poorly watered. Not considered suitable as separate self-contained holding.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for sale for cash or on deferred payments by public auction on the section, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, 21st January, 1937, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Whakatane County.—Rangitaki Upper Survey District.
Section 8, Block V: Area, 192 acres 2 roods 31 perches. Upset price, £150.
The property is situated on the bank of the Tarawera River, four miles from Te Teko Post-office and School, and six miles from Edgecumbe Railway-station. Access by means of an unformed road along the river-bank about one mile and a half off Whakatane–Rotorua Main Highway. Totally unimproved land all flat and low lying, mostly undrained swamp. Suitable as a summer run-off area for use in conjunction with other land held in the locality. Not suitable as a separate self-contained holding.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on optional tenure under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 25th January, 1937.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, on Wednesday, 27th January, 1937, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.

SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Rangitikei County.—Hautapu Survey District.
Section 16, Block I: Area, 246 acres 2 roods. Capital value, £500. Deposit on deferred payments, £20: Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £15 12s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £10.
Weighted with £47 (to be paid in cash) for improvements, consisting of a half-share in 92 chains of fencing.
This section is situated with a frontage to Mataroa Road (known locally as Ridge Road). Access is from Taihape, which is ten miles distant by four miles and a half clay road and five miles and a half metalled road. The section is not considered large enough as a separate holding, but would be suitable to an adjoining owner. Comprises steep country broken by gorges, the whole area being in milled bush. The soil is of good chocolate loam resting on papa formation; well watered by gorgey creeks.
