Appointment of Adjustment Commissions.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 30th day of November, 1936.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section twenty-four of the Mortgagors and Lessees Rehabilitation Act, 1936, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint the Adjustment Commissions named as set out hereunder, and doth also appoint the under-mentioned persons to be members of the respective Commissions set out opposite their names, the name of the Chairman being indicated in each case; and doth hereby direct that at any sitting of an Adjustment Commission two members shall form a quorum.

Authorizing the Picton Borough Council to Reclaim Land in Picton Harbour.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 30th day of November, 1936.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it is provided by the one-hundred-and-sixty-eighth section of the Harbours Act, 1923 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), that the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council, authorize any local authority or Harbour Board to reclaim from the sea areas, not exceeding five acres in extent, in any case where he considers that the reclamation will not affect navigation and is for the benefit of the public:

And whereas the Picton Borough Council (hereinafter called “the Council”) is desirous of reclaiming from the sea certain land in Picton Harbour, and the said reclamation is of such a nature as aforesaid, and the Council has applied to the Governor-General in Council for an order authorizing the execution of the said harbour-works:

And whereas it has been made to appear to the Governor-General in Council that the proposed work will not be or tend to the injury of navigation, and is for the benefit of the public:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize and empower the Council to reclaim from the sea in Picton Harbour the area of land shown edged red on plan marked M.D. 7491, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, such reclamation to be carried out and constructed in accordance with plan marked M.D. 7491, subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Block XVI, Town of Moeraki, Otago Land District.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 30th day of November, 1936.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS a notice of intention to issue an Order in Council declaring that the reservation over the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be changed from a reserve for a site for a convalescent home to a reserve for the purpose of public recreation was published in the Gazette of the eighth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six:

And whereas such notice of intention was duly laid before both Houses of Parliament in accordance with the provisions of subsection two of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928:

And whereas the Legislative Council and the House of Representatives, by resolutions dated respectively the twenty-eighth and the twenty-ninth days of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, approved the proposed change of purpose as aforesaid:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby change the purpose of the reservation over the land described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for a site for a convalescent home to a reserve for the purpose of public recreation.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 35, Block XVI, Town of Moeraki: Area, 5 acres 1 rood 30 perches, more or less.
