Revocation of the Reservation of Portion of a Permanent State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Forests Act, 1921–22, and pursuant to a resolution in that behalf passed by both Houses of Parliament, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the reservation as a permanent State forest effected by Warrant dated the twenty-sixth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and four, and by the State Forests Act, 1908, in so far as such reservation relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—WELLINGTON FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing approximately 4 acres 2 roods, being part of Section 58A, Block VI, Waiopehu Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the south-east by Lot 1 of Section 58, Block VI aforesaid; towards the south-west and north-west by roads; and towards the north-east by another part of the said Section 58A. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan 85/2, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 1st day of December, 1936.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Forests Act, 1921–22, and pursuant to a resolution in that behalf passed by both Houses of Parliament, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke (so far only as it relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto) the Proclamation of the fifteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, whereby the said land (with certain other land) was set apart as a permanent State forest, and declare that the reservation thereby effected is (so far only as aforesaid) revoked accordingly.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—ROTORUA FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 2 roods, more or less, being part of Section 5, Block I, Tarawera Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north by Section 15, Block I aforesaid; towards the east and south by another part of Section 5 aforesaid; and towards the west by Nursery Avenue. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 38/40, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Auckland plan S.O. 28648.)

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be scenic reserves under the said Act and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 28, Block X, Ohinemuri Survey District: Area, 128 acres 1 rood. (L. and S. 22/1098/243.)

All that area in the Raglan County containing by admeasurement 2,183 acres 2 roods, more or less, situated in Blocks II and III, Pirongia Survey District: Bounded towards the north-east generally by Allotments 296 and 294, Pirongia Parish, the crossing of a public road, Allotment 343, Pirongia Parish, the crossing of a public road, and Allotment 344, Pirongia Parish; thence towards the north-west and south-west by Allotment 344 aforesaid; thence towards the north generally by a public road to the north-western corner of Allotment 46, Pirongia Parish; thence towards the north-east generally by Allotment 46 aforesaid; thence towards the south-east generally by Allotments 25, 24, 23, and 364, all of Pirongia Parish, Lot 1 on plan 23155, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, and the crossing of a public road to Allotment 366, Pirongia Parish; thence towards the north by a public road; thence towards the east by part Allotment 365, Pirongia Parish; thence towards the south-west generally by Section 5, Block III, Pirongia Survey District, and Mangauiika B No. 2 Section 2 Block to the south-western corner of Allotment 369, Pirongia Parish; thence towards the north-west generally by a public road to and across a public road and again by that road; thence towards the south-west by the crossing of a public road, Allotment 358, Pirongia Parish (State forest, Gazette, 1931, page 552), and the crossing of a public road; thence towards the south-east generally by a public road; thence towards the south-west by State forest (Gazette, 1900, page 6), to the south-western corner of Allotment 428, Pirongia Parish; thence towards the north-west generally by a public road; thence towards the north-east, north-west, and south-west by Allotment 287, Pirongia Parish; thence towards the north-west by a public road; thence towards the north-east by Allotment 285, Pirongia Parish, and the crossing of a public road; thence towards the west generally by a public road to the point of commencement: save and excepting Allotment 359, Pirongia Parish (State forest, Gazette, 1931, page 552), and four intersecting public roads. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/325A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. NELSON LAND DISTRICT.

Section 31, Square 10, Block III, Kaiteriteri Survey District: Area, 59 acres 3 roods. (L. and S. 4/722.)

Section 21, Block IX, Kaiteriteri Survey District: Area, 134 acres. (L. and S. 4/716.)

Sections 3 and 16, Block V, Brighton Survey District: Area, 293 acres 2 roods. (L. and S. 4/6.)

Sections 11, 12, and 13, Block V, Brighton Survey District: Area, 1,011 acres. (L. and S. 4/6.)

Section 20, Block II, Ohika Survey District: Area, 69 acres 1 rood 24 perches. (L. and S. 4/333.)

All that area containing by admeasurement 40 acres 1 rood 32 perches, more or less, being part of Sections 1, 2, 3, Block V, Roto-iti Survey District, as shown on deposited plan No. 2310, Nelson Land Transfer Office, and on Certificate of Title, Vol. 75, folio 13. As the same is delineated on plan marked 4/352D, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 36 acres 1 rood, more or less, being part Section 1, Block XIII, Motupiko Survey District, as shown on deposited plan No. 2311,
