Appointment of Member of Board of Health under the Health Act, 1920.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section 7 of the Health Act, 1920, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby reappoint
Thomas Charles Atkinson Hislop, of Wellington,
to be a member of the said Board for three years from the 1st day of October, 1935.

Regulations as to Drainage and Plumbing under the Health Act, 1920, applied to the Borough of Waipukurau.—(H.H. 36/1.)

WHEREAS by an Order in Council made on the 3rd day of September, 1923, and gazetted on the 6th day of the same month, regulations (to be cited as “the Drainage and Plumbing Regulations”) were made under the Health Act, 1920, prescribing the conditions to be observed in the construction of approved drains, septic tanks, sanitary conveniences, and sanitary appliances:—
And whereas by the said regulations it was provided that the same were suspended as provided in the said Act:—
And whereas by section 133 of the said Act it is enacted that the operation of any such regulation may, if so provided therein, be wholly suspended until they are applied by the Minister by notice in the Gazette to any part of New Zealand:—
Now, therefore, I, Peter Fraser, Minister of Health, in exercise of the power and authority given by the said regulations and by section 133 of the said Act, do hereby apply the said regulations to the
Borough of Waipukurau,
and do hereby declare that this notice shall take effect on the 1st February, 1936.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman, Mangonui County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Mangonui and Oruru Ridings in the County of Mangonui, taken on the 10th day of January, 1936, on the proposal of the Mangonui County Council to borrow the sum of four thousand five hundred pounds for the purpose of constructing a concrete wharf and goods-shed at Mangonui on a new site adjacent to the present structure—
Votes.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .. 121
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was .. 11
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Classification of Road in Awatere County.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, I, Robert Semple, Minister of Transport, do hereby declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Awatere County shall belong to the class of road shown in the said Schedule.

ROAD classified in Class Three: Available for the use thereon of any heavy motor-vehicle (other than a multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle) which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than 6½ tons, or any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than 10 tons:—
Blenheim—Christchurch via Parnassus Highway No. 101 (all that portion within Awatere County known as the Dashwood Pass Deviation).
