ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 25th day of November, 1936.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the Board of Trade Act, 1919, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby, on the recommendation of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, make the following Board of Trade regulations for the regulation and control of prices of Jamaican oranges.

REGULATIONS.

  1. These regulations may be cited as the Board of Trade (Price of Oranges) Regulations, 1936.

  2. These regulations shall come into force on the day following notification in the Gazette of the making thereof.

  3. In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires,β€”

"Sale by wholesale" means every sale made to any person for the purpose of re-sale;

"Sale by retail" means every sale other than a sale made by wholesale, and includes a sale made to any person for any purpose other than re-sale;

"Oranges" means Jamaican oranges;

"Case" means the Jamaican export case having internal dimensions of 25 in. by 12 in. by 12 in. with a centre partition of 1ΒΌ in. in thickness.
