EGMONT COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and all other powers (if any) it in that behalf enabling, the Egmont County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the principal and interest and other charges on a loan of £5,600 authorized to be raised by the Egmont County Council under the above-mentioned Act and called the ‘Flood-damage Loan, 1936, £5,600,’ the said Egmont County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of six one-hundredths (6/100th) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Egmont, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
The Wellington City Milk-supply Loan, 1936.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and its amendments, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of thirteen thousand three hundred pounds (£13,300) to be known as ‘The Wellington City Milk-supply Loan, 1936,’ authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out extensions and alterations to the Wellington City Council Dairy Factory at Rahui, Otaki, the said Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nineteen eight-hundredths of a penny (19/800d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the City of Wellington, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years from the 15th day of January, 1937, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 12th day of November, 1936.

McGOWAN AND MAGEE, LIMITED.
NOTICE is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand dated the 13th day of November, 1936, confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from £20,000 to £18,000, and the minute (approved by the Court) showing with respect to the capital of the company as altered the several particulars required by the Companies Act, 1933, were on the 16th day of November, 1936, registered with the Registrar of Companies. The said minute is in the words and figures following, viz. :—
“ The capital of McGowan and Magee, Limited, is henceforth £18,000 divided into 18,000 shares of £1 each instead of its former capital of £20,000 divided into 20,000 shares of £1 each, the reduction having been effected by paying off the 2,000 fully-paid shares numbered 12001–14000 inclusive. At the time of the registration of this minute 12,000 of the said shares—viz., numbers 1–12000 inclusive—have been issued and are all fully paid up and the remaining 6000 are unissued.”

NOTICE is hereby given that a resolution for voluntary winding up of the above-named company was passed on the 7th day of November, 1936, and ALFRED E. LINDUP, of Mariri, was appointed liquidator for the purposes of such winding up.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and in the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Featherston County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work—namely, the creation of a public road and a stock paddock—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the First and Second Schedules hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the said Council, situate at Kitchener Street, Martinborough, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours: All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.
