PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that Alfred Walter Knapp, being an officer in the service of the Crown holding the office of Chief Clerk, District Office, Lands and Survey Department, at Napier, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 4th day of November, 1936.

Appointing a Deputy Chairman of the Main Highways Board.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Main Highways Act, 1922, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint as from the date hereof, Alfred James Baker, Esquire, of Wellington, Assistant Engineer-in-Chief of the Public Works Department, to be the Deputy Chairman of the Main Highways Board in terms of section seven of the Main Highways Amendment Act, 1936.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 4th day of November, 1936.

James Ivan Ashforth,
an officer of the Department of Health, is hereby authorized to enter the premises of any person carrying on the business of a producer, manufacturer, seller, or distributor of any dangerous drug, and to demand the production of and to inspect any books or documents relating to dealings in any such drugs, and to inspect, weigh, measure, and record the stocks of any such drugs.
