COUNTY OF RAGLAN.

SPECIAL ORDER CONSTITUTING WHANGAPE DRAINAGE DISTRICT.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Counties Act, 1920, and on the petition of not less than one-half of the ratepayers of the district hereinafter mentioned, the Raglan County Council hereby by way of special order declares that on and after the 10th day of September, 1936, the portion of the County of Raglan as described below shall be a district for the purpose of the construction of drainage works therein under the provisions of section 168 of the Counties Act, 1920, and shall be known as the Whangape Special Drainage District.

All that area in the County of Raglan within a line commencing at the north-east corner of Section 5 of 1, Block V, Rangiriri Survey District; and thence running south-westerly and south continuing along the southern boundaries of Sections 2 of 1, 141, 16, and 15; thence in a northerly direction to the south-east corner of Section 6; thence to the south-east corner of Section 7, continuing along the western boundaries of Sections 9 and 8; thence east, north-east, and east again to Lake Rotongaro, following the shores of the said Lake Rotongaro to the southern boundary of Section 80; thence north and east along the boundaries of Sections 80, 68, 17c, 17DA; thence on the western side of the Huntly-Rangiriri Road to the north-east corner of Section 3 of 36, Block II, Rangiriri Survey District; thence following the west bank of the Waikato River to the mouth of the Whangape Stream; thence south-east along the eastern bank of the said Whangape Stream to the northern corner of Section 34; thence south to the Churchill Road, continuing on the east side of the said Churchill Road to the junction of the Rangiriri—Glen Murray Road at the southern corner of Section 5; thence westerly on the southern side of the said Rangiriri—Glen Murray Road to the junction of the Tiko Tiko Road; thence westerly on the eastern side of the Tiko Tiko Road for approximately 1½ miles; thence south-east through Sections 1 and 2 to Lake Whangape; thence south-west along the shores of the said Lake Whangape to the point of commencement.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act, 1924, and its amendments, the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes under the provisions of the above-named Acts, and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work—namely, for street purposes at Wilton Road in the City of Wellington—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Public Office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such land should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership existing between STANLEY ERIC SHAW and HUGH STANLEY McWILLIAM, carrying on business at Hairini, Waikato, Farmers, under the firm name of “H. McWilliam and Co.,” has been dissolved from the 30th day of September, 1936, and in future the business will be carried on by Hugh Stanley McWilliam who has taken over the liabilities of the partnership and to whom all moneys owing to the partnership are now payable.
