In the matter of the Religious, Charitable, and Educational Trusts Act, 1908, and in the matter of THE T. G. MACARTHY CONVALESCENT HOME FOR CHILDREN.
NOTICE is hereby given that by an order made by the Honourable Mr. Justice Smith on the 25th day of September, 1936, it was ordered that the terms of the trust upon which the T. G. Macarthy Convalescent Home for Children is held by the Public Trustee be varied by authorizing the Public Trustee to admit adult female convalescent patients to the said Home as well as convalescent children, but in admitting patients to the said Home children shall be given preference over adults; and it was further ordered that the said variation of trust shall not be held to limit or abrogate the powers given to the Public Trustee by section 34 of the Local Legislation Act, 1931.

Education Reserve in Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
District Lands and Survey Office,

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserve is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o’clock a.m. on Monday, 23rd November, 1936.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Thursday, 26th November, 1936, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—EDUCATION RESERVE.
Matamata County.—Maungatautari Survey District.
SECTIONS 11 and 12, Block XII: Area, 345 acres. Capital value, £530; half-yearly rent, £10 12s.
Weighted with £22 (payable in cash) for improvements, consisting of whare and half-share in boundary-fencing.
A mixed-farming property situated on the old Arapuni Road two miles from Arapuni Post-office, one mile and a half from Puketura School, and eight miles and a half from Putaruru Railway-station and Saleyards; the cream-collection route passes the property. Easy undulating land covered in light scrub and heather. Ragwort is prevalent and requires immediate attention.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o’clock a.m. on Monday, 23rd November, 1936.
The land described in the First Schedule may, at the option of the applicants, be purchased for cash, or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable lease. The land described in the Second Schedule may be selected on renewable lease only.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Thursday, 26th November, 1936, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

SECTIONS 8, 32, and 33, Block XII: Area, 198 acres 2 roods 9 perches. Capital value, £300. Deposit on deferred payments, £15. Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £9 5s. 3d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £6.
Weighted with £286 for improvements, consisting of whare, cow-shed, piggeries, shelter-belt, clearing and grassing, road boundary fencing, subdivisional fencing, and half-share in boundary-fencing. This sum may be paid in cash or, after payment of a deposit of £6, the balance of £280 may remain on instalment mortgage to the Lands and Survey Department payable in the case of a New Zealand discharged soldier over a period of twenty-five years and a half by instalments of principal and interest (5 per cent.) combined totalling £9 16s. each half-year; in the case of a civilian, over a period of twenty-four years and a half by instalments of principal and interest (5½ per cent.) combined totalling £10 10s. each half-year.
A mixed-farming property situated on the old Arapuni Road two miles from Arapuni Post-office, one mile and a half from Puketura School, and eight miles and a half from Putaruru Railway-station and Saleyards; the cream-collection route passes the property. (Exempt from rental and mortgage interest payments for five years.*)
SECTION 1, Block II: Area, 347 acres 1 rood 20 perches. Capital value, £200; half-yearly rent, £4.
Weighted with £490 for improvements, consisting of dwelling, wool-shed, outbuildings (2), sheep-dip and yards, clearing and grassing, road-boundary fencing and subdivisional fencing. This sum is payable in cash, or the total amount may remain on mortgage to the State Advances Corporation of New Zealand, payable over a period of thirty years by means of quarterly instalments of principal and interest combined with interest at the rate ruling as at date of selection, subject to a rebate of ½ per cent. for payment of the instalments on or before fourteen days after the due dates thereof.
A grazing property situated on the Mahoenui—Kawhia Road, three miles from Ngapaenga Post-office, five miles from Waitanguru School, twenty-six miles from Te Kuiti Railway-station, cream-collecting depot, and saleyards; access by metalled road. Undulating to hilly bush country containing a small proportion of ploughable land. Approximately 30 acres in fair pasture, balance in worn-out pasture, now reverted.
- After payment of the first half-year’s rent no rent will be charged for a period of five years, and no interest under the mortgage will be charged for a period of five years provided that a sum equivalent to the concessions granted is expended each year in effecting permanent improvements to the land.
