Notifying Land in Canterbury Land District subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 10th October, 1936.

PURSUANT to the provisions of subsection (2) of section 48 of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, notice is hereby given that the land described in the First Schedule hereto, being part of the land known as Acton Settlement, was acquired by the Crown on and became subject to the provisions of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, as from the lst day of September, 1919.

Notice is hereby given also that the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being part of the land known as Acton Settlement, was acquired by the Crown on and became subject to the provisions of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, as from the 1st day of May, 1936.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—PART OF ACTON SETTLEMENT.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 849 acres o roods 3 perches, more or less, being Rural Section 21167 and parts of Rural Sections 22168, 22766, 22767, and 23165, Blocks VIII and XII, Ashburton Survey District, and Blocks III and V, Rakaia Survey District, more particularly defined as Lots 3, 5, and 6 on deposited plan No. 1970, and being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Canterbury Volume 318, folio 160 (copy deposited in the Head Office, Lands and Survey Department, Wellington, numbered C-1260).

SECOND SCHEDULE.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—PART OF ACTON SETTLEMENT.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 100 acres, more or less, being Rural Section 25173, Block XIII, Ashburton Survey District, and being all the land comprised in Crown Grant Volume 30, folio 272, Canterbury Registry (copy deposited in the Head Office, Lands and Survey Department, Wellington, numbered C-1408).

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 205 acres 1 rood 24 perches, more or less, being Rural Section 30415 and part Rural Section 25379, Block V, Rakaia Survey District, and Block XII, Ashburton Survey District, and being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Canterbury Volume 139, folio 283 (copy deposited in the Head Office, Lands and Survey Department, Wellington, numbered C-1409).
