GERALDINE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Geraldine Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one thousand pounds (£1,000) authorized to be raised by the Geraldine Borough Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, for the redemption of the loans known as the Acetylene-gas Loan of £2,000 and the Masonic Hall Loan of £880 (less accumulated sinking funds and other available moneys), the said Geraldine Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven-eighths of a penny (⅞d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Geraldine, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of eleven years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of the DE LUXE GARAGE, LTD., a private company.

NOTICE is hereby given that—

(1) The following resolution to wind up voluntarily has been passed by an entry in the minute-book of the company on the 24th September, 1936:—

“That it is advisable to wind up the company, and we resolve as a special resolution that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that GEOFFREY MARTYN RENNER, Public Accountant, of Wellington, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator for the purpose of such winding up.”

(2) Notice is hereby given that all persons or companies having claims against the company are required to send full particulars thereof to me on or before the 30th October, 1936, otherwise they may be excluded from participating in the distribution of assets.

I, CHARLES HENRY BULL, Commissioner of the County of Matakaoa, do hereby certify that pursuant to the provisions of subsection (2) of section 9 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, a special resolution was duly passed on the 10th day of September, 1936, and confirmed on the 25th day of September, 1936, providing for the issue under Part II of the above Act of new securities in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the Matakaoa County Tauranga-kautuku Valley Road and the Matakaoa County Workers’ Dwelling Loans specified in the First Schedule of the Matakaoa County Loans Conversion Order, 1936 (No. 1), as published on page 1711 of the New Zealand Gazette No. 60 of the 10th September, 1936.
