THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

  1. All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

  2. The Board shall have prepared and submitted at an annual meeting to be held in the month of April in each year a report of the proceedings of the Board for the previous year ending on the 31st day of March, together with a statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister of Lands as soon as possible after each annual meeting.

  3. The Board shall control the said reserve and the building erected thereon for the purposes of a public hall, and shall also afford settlers and residents of Omatahe and the surrounding district such facilities for meeting within the said hall as may from time to time be determined by the Board: provided that the Board shall have power to fix reasonable charges for the use of the said hall.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section 35 (formerly part 12), Block IV, Hautapu Survey District.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

Notice of Intention to issue an Order in Council changing the Purpose of Part of a Reserve in the Borough of Timaru, Canterbury Land District.

———

GALWAY, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided that the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council, change the purpose of any public reserve or any part thereof, and thereafter such reserve or part, as the case may be, shall be held and administered for such changed purpose:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is part of a reserve duly set apart for public recreation purposes, and it is expedient to change the purpose of the said part to a reserve for aerodrome purposes:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby give notice, pursuant to subsection two of section seven of the said Act, that it is my intention to issue an Order in Council under the provisions of subsection one (a) of section seven of the said Act, declaring that the reservation over the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be changed from a reserve for public recreation purposes to a reserve for aerodrome purposes.

SCHEDULE.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 155 acres, more or less, and being part Reserve 1858, situated in the Borough of Timaru, and bounded as follows:

Towards the north-west by a public road, 1489·3 links; towards the north generally by right lines 310·3, 995·5, 303·3, 428·9, 677·3, 734·2, and 812·7 links parallel to and 125 links distant from the north boundary of Reserve 1858; towards the south-east by right lines 563·4, 2586·3, 1719·6, and 1371·1 links parallel to and one chain distant from the north-west boundary of Reserve 1856; towards the south-west by Rural Section 3753 a total of 3560·2 links; and again towards the west generally by Rural Section 3753, Crown land, and Rural Section 5931, a total of 4869·2 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/11/81a, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 25th day of September, 1936.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 3 acres 1 rood 36 perches, more or less, and being part of Reserve 1858, situated in Block II of the Patiti Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the west and north-west generally by Lots 108 and 76, Deposit Plan 4075, the abutment of a road, and Lots 67, 61, and 62, Deposit Plan 4075 aforesaid, 265·39, 200, 263·52, and 559 links; towards the north by Lagoon Street, 275·8 links; and again towards the south-east by a public road, 1212·76 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/11/81b, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 26th day of September, 1936.
