CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Settlement Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, 22nd September, 1936.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 19th October, 1936.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 21st October, 1936, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS SETTLEMENT LAND.

Waitemata County.—Waitemata Survey District.

SECTION 63, Waari Hamlet: Area, 5 acres 1 rood 1·89 perches. Capital value £210; half-yearly rent, £5 5s.

Weighted with the sum of £225 for improvements (see below) payable by a cash deposit of £25, balance being secured on instalment mortgage under the Discharged Soldiers’ Settlement Act for a term not exceeding thirty-six years and a half and bearing interest at the rate of 5 per cent. per annum if purchased by a discharged soldier, or 5½ per cent. per annum if purchased by a civilian.

This area is situated on Sunnyside Road, three-quarters of a mile from Henderson Post-office, one mile from Henderson School, and quarter of a mile from Sunnyvale Railway-station, by metalled road. Hilly to undulating, all ploughable, with soil of clay. Subdivided into three paddocks and watered by swampy stream. Approximately 2 acres in pasture, 1½ acres cultivated for crops, and 1½ acres cleared and ploughed.

Improvements (which must be paid for as stated above) comprise a four-roomed dwelling and lean-to, fowl house and run, a few lemon and orange trees, 8 chains road-fencing, 20 chains boundary-fencing, 10 chains subdivisional fencing, 14 chains shelter-trees, 8 chains drains, grassing, and cultivation.
