If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose one of their number to be Chairman of such meeting.

If by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise the seat of any member shall be or become vacant, or if any member absents himself without reasonable cause from three consecutive meetings of the Board, the Governor-General shall have power to appoint any other person to be a member of the Board in his stead.

All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at the meeting.

The Board shall have prepared and submitted at an annual meeting to be held in the month of April in each year a report of the proceedings of the Board for the previous year ending on the thirty-first day of March, together with a statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister of Lands as soon as possible after each annual meeting.

The Board shall control the said reserve and the building erected thereon for the purposes of a public hall, and shall also afford settlers and residents of Bruce Bay and the surrounding district such facilities for meeting within the said hall as may from time to time be determined by the Board; provided that the Board shall have power to fix reasonable charges for the use of the said hall.

Warrant authorizing the Masterton County Council to construct a Bridge over the Ruamahanga River at Opaki, on the Opaki–Mauriceville Road (including Approaches thereto), and apportioning the Cost.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by section one hundred and thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby authorize the Masterton County Council to construct the bridge (together with approaches thereto) described in the Schedule hereto; and I do also declare that the cost thereof, less such contribution (if any) which may be made thereto by the Government of New Zealand, shall be borne by the Masterton County Council, the Masterton Borough Council, and the Mauriceville County Council in the following proportions—viz., the Masterton County Council shall pay seventy (70) per centum, the Masterton Borough Council shall pay twenty (20) per centum, and the Mauriceville County Council shall pay ten (10) per centum of such cost respectively; and I do further direct that any contributions hereby required to be made as aforesaid by the Masterton Borough Council and the Mauriceville County Council shall be paid from time to time, in the proportions hereinbefore described, out of the funds of the said Councils within a period of one month after demand in writing made by or on behalf of the Masterton County Council; and all such payments shall be made from time to time to the Clerk of the Masterton County Council for and on behalf of the said Councils.
SCHEDULE.
THAT bridge in the Wellington Land District over the Ruamahanga River at Opaki, on the Opaki–Mauriceville Road (together with approaches thereto), between Section 20, Block IX, and Section 11, Block XIII, Kopuaranga Survey District. As the site of the said bridge and approaches is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 90259, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 16th day of September, 1936.

Notice bringing Part of Recreation Reserve within the Operation of the Mining Act, 1926.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by section twenty-five of the Mining Act, 1926, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the part of the recreation reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall be brought within the operation of the Mining Act, 1926; and do hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 7 acres, more or less, and being part of recreation reserve, Block I, Mid-Wakatipu Survey District, being a 900-link strip along each side of Seven-mile Creek for a distance of 400 links north-westerly along said creek from high-water mark: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly shown on the plan marked Mines N. 10/13/110, deposited in the Head Office, Mines Department, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 15th day of September, 1936.

As the same is more particularly shown on the plan marked Mines N. 6/92, deposited in the Head Office, Mines Department, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 15th day of September, 1936.

Lands temporarily reserved in the Auckland and Canterbury Land Districts.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve the lands in the Auckland and Canterbury Land Districts described in the Schedule hereunder written for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.
