Lands temporarily reserved in the North Auckland, Auckland, Wellington, Marlborough, Westland, Canterbury, and Otago Land Districts.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section three hundred and fifty-nine of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby temporarily reserve the lands in the North Auckland, Auckland, Wellington, Marlborough, Westland, Canterbury, and Otago Land Districts described in the Schedule hereunder written for the purposes specified in the said Schedule.

Lands permanently reserved in the Canterbury and Otago Land Districts.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes of the said section mentioned;

And whereas by the three-hundred-and-sixtieth section of the said Act it is provided that land temporarily reserved under the said three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section may, at the expiration of one month, but not later than six months, after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently reserved, and that notice of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette :

And whereas the lands described in the Schedule hereto were, by the Warrant dated the twenty-second day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, and published in the Gazette of the thirtieth day of that month, temporarily reserved under the authority of the said Act for the purposes in the Schedule of the said Warrant specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved :

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby permanently reserve the lands described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be permanently reserved for which purposes the said lands were so temporarily reserved as aforesaid.
