Land in Town of Waikouaiti taken for Railway Purposes.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the New Zealand Government Railways to take land in the Town of Waikouaiti, for railway purposes :

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section eleven of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 2·59 perches.

Part Section 1, Block IX, Town of Waikouaiti, Waikouaiti County. (S.O. P. 984 Tn.)

In the Otago Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 4249, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured violet.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of August, 1936.

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Street in the Borough of Lower Hutt, at Ava.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Lower Hutt Valley Duplication of the Wellington-Napier Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a street :

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section two hundred and twenty-six of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do' hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a street, and that the said street shall be under the control of the Lower Hutt Borough Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land : 5·99 perches and 25·11 perches.

Portions of railway land (parts Section 5, Hutt R.D.), Block XIII, Belmont Survey District, Borough of Petone. (S.O. 257/28.)

In the Wellington Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 263, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured sepia.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 22nd day of August, 1936.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of a road desired to be constructed over Blocks V and VIII, Paekakariki Survey District—viz., portion of the Plimmerton—Paekakariki Road—
