NOTICE.
ALFRED JOHN GREEN, Esquire, of Launceston, Tasmania, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of the State of Tasmania has this day been appointed by the Honourable Sir John Ranken Reed, Acting Chief Justice of New Zealand, a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in Tasmania under the 47th section of the Judicature Act, 1908, for the purpose of administering and taking all such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the said section mentioned.

Portion of Maniapoto Consolidation Scheme confirmed.
In the matter of subsection (6) of section 161 of the Native Land Act, 1931, and in the matter of an application dated the 23rd day of March, 1928, to the Court to prepare a scheme of consolidation in respect of Aria Township and other blocks.
NOTICE is hereby given that a scheme of consolidation (in part, being the fifth instalment) dated the 18th day of May, 1936, dealing with Waiwhakaata 1B 2 and other blocks, as set out in the said scheme, having been prepared by the Native Land Court in accordance with the above-mentioned Act and submitted under the seal of that said Court to the Native Minister for his approval, I, Michael Joseph Savage, as such Native Minister, being satisfied that the portion of the scheme so submitted is just and equitable and is in the public interest, do hereby confirm the portion of the said scheme of consolidation which was so submitted on the 18th day of May, 1936.

Water-supply Loan, 1936, of £26,000.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that on the 23rd July, 1936, a poll of ratepayers was taken within the Awatere Water-supply Special-rating Area on a proposal to raise a loan of £26,000 to supply the area with a high-pressure drinking-water supply.
The voting was as follows :—

I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

Master and Apprentice Act, 1908, and its Amendments.— Notice declaring the Naval Department to be a Department in which Apprentices may be taken.
NOTICE is hereby given that in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Master and Apprentice Act, 1908, and its amendments, I, Hubert Thomas Armstrong, Minister of Labour, do hereby declare that the arts and trades used and exercised in the department mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be deemed to be arts and trades within the meaning of Part II of the Master and Apprentice Act, 1908, and that the officer named in the said Schedule shall be deemed to be the master for the purposes of the said Part II of the said Act.
