Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Morven Domain.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of June, 1936.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

Sidney James Blair,
John Carson Hay,
Harry Samuel Horsnell,
Donald Kennedy,
Ernest Samuel Marshall,
Robert Sinclair,
John McAleer, and
Albert Edward Wilson

to be the Morven Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the fifteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Morven Hall, Morven, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—MORVEN DOMAIN.

Reserve 3596, Block VII, Waitaki Survey District: Area, 60 acres, more or less.

Reserve 3459, Morven Township, Block VII, Waitaki Survey District: Area, 4 acres 1 rood 15 perches.

Reserve 3458, Block VIII, Morven Township: Area, 2 acres 2 roods.

Part Reserve 1816, Block VII, Waitaki Survey District: Area, 63 acres 2 roods 32 perches. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/406, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered blue.

Reapportioning Representation on the Bay of Plenty Electric-power Board, and fixing the Dates of Election and Retirement of Representatives.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 3rd day of June, 1936.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and of every other power in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council dated the twenty-eighth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the fifth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, apportioning representation on the Bay of Plenty Electric-power Board, and doth hereby make the following provisions in lieu thereof:—

  1. The provisions of this Order shall come into force on the seventh day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six (hereinafter called “the appointed day”).

  2. The Bay of Plenty Electric-power Board shall consist of seven members.

  3. The number of representatives of each of the several constituent districts of the Bay of Plenty Electric-power District shall be the number hereinafter set opposite the name of that constituent district, that is to say,—

County of Opotiki 2
Part of the County of Whakatane 4
Borough of Opotiki 1

  1. One representative of the constituent district of the Borough of Opotiki and one representative of the constituent district of the County of Opotiki shall retire from office on the Bay of Plenty Electric-power Board on the appointed day.

  2. The first election of the additional representative of the constituent district of part of the County of Whakatane shall be held on the appointed day.

Amending an Order in Council reapportioning Representation on the Bay of Plenty Electric-power Board, and fixing the Dates of Election and Retirement of Representatives.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of June, 1936.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and of every other power in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the Order in Council dated the third day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, reapportioning representation on the Bay of Plenty Electric-power Board, and fixing the dates of election and retirement of representatives by deleting from paragraph one thereof the words “seventh day of July,” and substituting therefor the words “sixth day of August”:

In every other respect the said Order in Council is hereby confirmed.

License authorizing John Charles Hickmott, of Aorere, Collingwood, to use Water for the Purpose of generating Electricity.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of June, 1936.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby grant to John Charles Hickmott, of Aorere, Collingwood (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”), a license subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth to obstruct, impound, or divert the waters of Granity Creek situated in Section 136, Block XIII, Pakawan Survey District, in the Land District of Nelson, and to take and use therefrom for the purposes hereinafter set forth a stream of water not exceeding one cubic foot per second at any one time.

CONDITIONS.

  1. IMPLIED CONDITIONS.

The conditions directed to be implied in all licenses by the Water-power Regulations, 1934, shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this license, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

  1. LICENSE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS.

This license is issued under the Water-power Regulations, 1934, and is subject thereto and to the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935, and the Electrical Wiring Regulations, 1935, and to any regulations made in amplification or amendment thereof or in substitution therefor.
