MANGONUI COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Mangonui County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the construction of a road—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council situate at Commerce Street, Kaitaia, and is open to inspection without fee to all persons during ordinary office hours: All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers at Kaitaia.

SCHEDULE.

Approximate area of each of the parcels of land required to be taken: 1 rood 3·8 perches.
Being portion of O.L.C. 129; coloured red.

Situated in Block V, Mangonui S.D., Auckland Registration District, Mangonui County. (S.O. 28415.)

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between Messrs. MARTIN HEYWOOD HAMPSON and WILLIAM LYALL WISEMAN, practicing as Barristers and Solicitors at Auckland under the style or firm of “Hampson and Wiseman,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 31st day of May, 1936. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by Mr. W. L. Wiseman who will continue to carry on the said practice.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership formerly existing between KENNETH AINSLIE and JAMES F. KENNEDY, carrying on business at King’s Chambers, Wellington, has been dissolved as from 18th May, 1936. The business in future will be carried on solely by the said James F. TAURANGA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Tauranga Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :-

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of the principal, interest, and other charges in respect of the Tauranga Electric-power Board Electrical Extension Loan of £40,000 authorized to be raised by the Tauranga Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act by a poll of the ratepayers taken on the 28th day of September, 1935, for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy throughout the Board’s district, the Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny (1d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Tauranga Electric-power District, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Tauranga Electric-power Board held on the 21st day of May, 1936.

The common seal of the Tauranga Electric-power Board was hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the said Board in the presence of—

WHITFIELD AND KENNEDY, LIMITED.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that by an entry in its minute-book the above-named company on the 26th day of May, 1936, has passed a resolution—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. JOHN PEACH, care of Messrs. McCulloch, Butler, and Spence, Public Accountants, Gisborne, be and is hereby nominated as liquidator of the company for the purpose of such winding up.”

Notice is further given in accordance with section 300 (7) of the Companies Act, 1933, that a meeting of creditors will be held at the offices of Messrs. McCulloch, Butler, and Spence, Lowe Street, Gisborne, on Friday, 5th June, 1936, at 10 a.m.
