CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Lands in the Auckland, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, and Marlborough Land Districts forfeited.

NOTICE is hereby given that the leases and licenses of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeited by resolutions of the Land Boards of the respective land districts, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

Land in Auckland Land District for Selection on Optional Tenures.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 3rd June, 1936.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o’clock a.m. on Monday, 29th June, 1936.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Thursday, 2nd July, 1936, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Otorohanga County.—Mangaorongo Survey District.
SECTION 10, Block XI: Area, 128 acres 3 roods 14 perches. Capital value, £190. Deposit on deferred payments, £10: Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £5 17s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £3 16s.
Weighted with £336 for improvements, consisting of cottage of five rooms with electrical installation, cow-shed, clearing and grassing, road-boundary fencing, subdivisional fencing, half-share in boundary-fencing. This sum is payable in cash or by means of a deposit of £51, the balance (£285) to remain on instalment mortgage for a term not exceeding twenty-five years and a half under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act.
A grazing property, situated on Paewhenua Road, quarter of a mile from Paewhenua School and seventeen miles from Otorohanga Railway-station and Post-office; cream is collected at the gate. Access by metalled road. Approximately 90 acres easy undulating country (ploughable), the balance is broken with outcrops of sandstone and rhyolite. Approximately 90 acres of worn-out pasture ragwort infested, balance in natural state—fern, manuka, and light scrub.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on optional tenure under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, up to noon on Monday, 22nd June, 1936.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, on Wednesday, 24th June, 1936, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.
FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Waitomo County.—Totoro Survey District.
SECTION 5, Block X: Area, 180 acres. Capital value, £235. Deposit on deferred payments, £15: Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £7 3s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £4 14s.
Weighted with £1,380 for improvements, comprising dwelling, wool-shed and yards, fencing, draining, felling and grassing. Payable in cash or by a cash deposit of £50, leaving £190 on first mortgage to the Mortgage Corporation—term, twenty years—and £1,140 on second mortgage under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act—term not exceeding thirty-six years and a half.
A grazing property on which a little dairying could be done, situated on the Kie Kie Road, two miles from Aria Post-office, School, Dairy Factory, and Saleyards, and twenty-seven miles from Te Kuiti Railway-station. Access is by metalled road from Te Kuiti. Undulating to hilly land of good quality with clay soil on papa formation; watered by springs and swamp. Some 120 acres in good pasture, 40 acres in worn-out pasture, 20 acres in bush and scrub. The property is subdivided into eight paddocks.
