to be Clerk and Bailiff of the Magistrates’ Court at Leeston for the purposes of the Magistrates’ Courts Act, 1928, and Clerk of the Licensing Committee for the District of Mid-Canterbury for the purposes of the Licensing Act, 1908, as from the 21st day of May, 1936.

to be Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Motatau, as from the 23rd day of May, 1936.

NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to a resolution passed by the Board of Native Affairs on the 7th day of May, 1936, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is subject to the provisions of section 522 of the Native Land Act, 1931, and is included in the Tuparoa Development Scheme.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Birkenhead Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

BOROUGH OF BIRKENHEAD.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of Birkenhead, taken on the 25th day of February, 1936, on the proposal of the Birkenhead Borough Council to borrow the sum of £28,000 for the purpose of providing sewer drainage in portion of the borough and for advances in certain cases to owners of premises in respect of cost of drainage connections,–
Votes.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was . . 288
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 222
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Classification of Street in Marton Borough.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, I, Robert Semple, Minister of Transport, do hereby approve of the Marton Borough Council’s proposed classification of the street described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Marton Borough.

Approval of Testing Officers under the Motor-drivers’ Regulations, 1931.
IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers’ Regulations, 1931, I, Robert Semple, Minister of Transport, do hereby approve until further notice of the persons named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being Testing Officers under the said regulations for the local authorities specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

Notice of Intention to take Land in the Borough of Tauranga for the Purposes of a Post-office.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a post-office—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Tauranga and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Being Allotment 190, Section 1, Town of Tauranga.
Situated in Block X, Tauranga Survey District (Borough of Tauranga).
