The South-eastern Side of Portion of Henley Street, in the City of Christchurch, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 20th day of May, 1936.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Christchurch City Council on the twenty-seventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, viz.:
"The Christchurch City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Christchurch, hereby by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to that portion of the south-east side of Henley Street abutting on land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 384, folio 166";
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the south-eastern side of the portion of Henley Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of forty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE.
THE south-eastern side of all that portion of street, situated in the Canterbury Land District, City of Christchurch, known as Henley Street, fronting part Rural Section 252. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 92172, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Regulations under the Naval Defence Act, 1913, amended.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day of May, 1936.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section twenty-five of the Naval Defence Act, 1913, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, with the advice of the Executive Council, doth hereby amend and supplement the regulations referred to in the Schedule hereto as shown therein.
SCHEDULE.
Regulations for the Government and Payment of the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy, 1929.
Article 50: Cancel clause 5, and substitute:
"5. Pension contributions will be payable, in respect of men whose Royal Navy engagements have not expired, up to the date of their final discharge from the Royal Navy. The form of agreement signed by the rating when volunteering for loan is to be cancelled at the time the permanent transfer is effected."
Article 93: Cancel clause 1, and substitute:
"93. Leave: General: Record of Leave.—Particulars of all long leave granted to ratings, except sick leave, are to be recorded on form N.Z.D. 32 or 32A."
Article 137: Cancel, and substitute:
"137. Pay for performing Higher Duties.—Difference of pay for performing higher duties may be paid under the condition of King’s Regulations and Admiralty Instructions, Article 1591, subject to the proviso that such payment is not to be authorized when the vacancy for the more highly-paid rating can be filled by drafting. If it is considered to be contrary to the interests of the service so to adjust a vacancy in complement, the circumstances may be represented to the Naval Board, but difference of pay is not to be authorized until the approval of the Naval Board is obtained. Approval for the payment of difference of pay includes approval for the credit of difference of deferred pay where applicable."
Chapter XIII: Amend title to read—
"Miscellaneous Instructions to Accountant Officers."

Article 363: Cancel, and substitute:
"363. Record of Services.—In addition to the certificate of service, a form N.Z.D. 32 or 32A is to be kept in the Captain’s office in respect of each rating or Royal Marine on board, the forms being disposed of in accordance with the instructions promulgated in Navy Orders when the men are transferred to other ships, finally discharged, &c."
Article 366: Cancel.
Appendix X.
Returns required to be rendered in accordance with the Regulations for the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy.

PURSUANT to section one hundred and sixty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby vary an Order in Council made on the twenty-ninth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, and published in the Gazette on the third day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, at page 424, and affecting Paeroa East 3B 1 and other blocks, by excluding therefrom the land described in the Schedule hereto.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.
