TIMARU BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Timaru Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000 authorized to be raised by the Timaru Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purchase of omnibuses to replace the present fleet, the said Timaru Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·265d. in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Timaru, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of seven years or until the loan is fully paid off.

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £15,000 authorized to be raised by the Timaru Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purchase of land and construction of an airport, the said Timaru Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·285d. in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Timaru, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Timaru Borough Council held on the 11th day of May, 1936.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of The Selwyn Hosiey Manufacturing Company, Limited, held at the offices of J. Roy Smith, Public Accountant, Christchurch, on the 5th day of May, 1936, the following special resolution was unanimously passed:

“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. J. Roy Smith, of Christchurch, Public Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator of the company for the purposes of such winding up.”

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Cook County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £334 authorized to be raised by the Cook County Council under the above-mentioned Act for re-forming and metalling portion of the Bushy Knoll Road, the said Cook County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty sixty-thirds of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Bushy Knoll Road Metalling Special-rating District, comprising Lot 1, S.G.R. 32, Blocks IV and X, Hangaroa S.D.; Lot 1, S.G.R. 63, Block XI, Hangaroa S.D.; Lot 2, S.G.R. 41, Blocks IX and X, Hangaroa S.D.; Lots 1, 20, 25, 26, 27, 28, Block X, Hangaroa S.D.; Lots 29 to 33, 36, 38, 39, Block XI, Hangaroa S.D.; Tauwharetoi 23, 24, 25, Block XIV, Hangaroa S.D.; Lots 5 and 6, 7 to 15, 16 to 19, 21, and 22, 2 of 22, Block XV, Hangaroa S.D.; Lot 51, Block XVI, Hangaroa S.D.; Lots 37, 38, 39, 40, 43, 44, 45 to 47, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65 to 70, Tiniroto Village; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.
