NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held on the 24th day of April, 1936, the following special resolutions were passed:—
(1) “That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up and that the company be wound up voluntarily.”

BOROUGH OF GREEN ISLAND.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Green Island Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of thirty-two thousand pounds authorized to be raised by the Green Island Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out drainage and sewerage works for the Borough of Green Island, the said Green Island Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one shilling (1s.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Green Island comprising the whole of the Borough of Green Island, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed on the 2nd day of July, 1935.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Counties Act, 1920.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Hawke’s Bay County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to acquire for the purpose of a public work—namely, a metal quarry—the land described in the Schedule hereto:
Notice is further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken for a metal quarry is deposited in the public offices of the Clerk to the said Council at Napier, and is open for inspection by all persons during ordinary office hours:
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land who have any well-founded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same on or before the 20th day of June, 1936, being a date not less than forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Council at the Council Chambers, Browning Street, Napier.

Approximate area of land required to be taken for metal quarry: 2 acres 1 rood 0·5 perches.
Being portion of Section 2, Block XI, Marackakaho Survey District; edged green.

MANAWATU-OROUA RIVER BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Manawatu-Oroua River Board hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £800 authorized to be raised by the Manawatu-Oroua River Board under the above-mentioned Act for the completion of banking work on the Manawatu River at Hamilton’s Bend, and banking of the Manawatu River at Hamilton’s Bend, and any other banking deemed necessary on the Manawatu River in the No. 4 Separate Area of the Board, the said Manawatu-Oroua River Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and one-half of a penny per acre upon all rateable property of the No. 4 Separate Area of the Manawatu-Oroua River District as constituted and defined by a resolution of the Board duly passed on the 6th day of April, 1933, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
RESOLUTION AMENDING SPECIAL RATE.
“ Whereas on the 7th day of May, 1936, a resolution was duly passed by the Manawatu-Oroua River Board making a special rate of one penny and one-half of one penny per acre upon all rateable property of the No. 4 Separate Area of the Manawatu-Oroua River District for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund and other charges on a loan of £800 authorized to be raised by the Manawatu-Oroua River
