Altering the Boundaries of the Te Awamutu Electric-power District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby alter the boundaries of the Te Awamutu Electric-power District so as to include the areas described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
(a) All that area in the Auckland Land District, Otorohanga County, bounded by a line commencing at the westernmost corner of Section 6, Block III, Pirongia Survey District (scenic reserve); thence in an easterly direction generally along the generally southern boundary of the Raglan County (as described in the Waikato and King-country Counties Act, 1921-22) to its junction with the Waipa River, and by a right line across that river to a point opposite the mouth of the stream forming the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 305, Pirongia Parish; thence in a southerly direction generally following the boundary of the Te Awamutu Electric-power District (Gazette, 1920, page 14) up the right bank of the Waipa River to a point in line with the northern boundary of the Takotokoraha No. 3a 2b Block, in Block XII, Pirongia Survey District; thence in a westerly direction generally by a right line across the Waipa River and along the northern boundary of Takotokoraha No. 3a 2b Block, the crossing of a public road, the northern boundaries of Takotokoraha part No. 1 and Waiwhakata No. 3e 3a, No. 3e 3b Blocks, the crossing of a public road, Waiwhakata No. 3e 3c, No. 3e 4a, No. 1a, and No. 1 Blocks; thence in a north-westerly direction generally across a public road and along the north-eastern boundaries of Waiwhakata No. 3e 4e 2 Block, Section 22, Block X, Pirongia Survey District, Kopua No. 1s 2b 2b Block, the crossing of a public road, and Kopua No. 1s 2b 2b Block to the Pekanui Road; thence along that road to its intersection by the Kawhia County boundary (as described in the Waikato and King-country Counties Act, 1921-22); thence in a north-easterly direction generally by the Kawhia County boundary aforesaid to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 92065, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
(b) All that area in the County of Raglan, in the Auckland Land District, bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the right bank of the Waipa River opposite the north-eastern corner of Allotment 250 of the Parish of Pirongia, towards the north by a line across the river to the said north-eastern corner of Allotment 250; thence towards the north, east, and again towards the north by the southern boundary of the Central Electric-power District, as described in a Proclamation contained in the New Zealand Gazette of the 3rd day of December, 1925, at page 3300, to the north-eastern corner of Allotment 370b of the Parish of Pirongia; thence towards the north-west by the south-eastern boundary of the said Allotment 370b to the southern corner of the said allotment; thence towards the south-west by the south-western boundary of the said Parish of Pirongia to Mahaukura Trig. Station No. 1922 at the northern corner of Mangaunika B 2 Section 2; thence towards the north-west by the north-western boundaries of Mangaunika B 2 Section 2 and a scenic reserve, Section 6, described in the New Zealand Gazette of 1924, at page 2823, to the western corner of the said scenic reserve; thence generally towards the south by the southern boundary of the Raglan County as defined in the Waikato and King-country Counties Act, 1921-22, to the eastern corner of Allotment 305 of the Parish of Pirongia, and a line across the Waipa River to the right bank thereof; thence towards the east by the right bank of the Waipa River to a point opposite the northern corner of Allotment 250 of the Parish of Pirongia, the place of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 91002, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of May, 1936.

Alteration of Boundaries, Christchurch Drainage District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by section two of the Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act, 1920, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be added to and form part of the Christchurch Drainage District; and, with the like powers and authorities, do hereby also declare that the said area shall be added to the Rural Riccarton Subdistrict of the said district.
SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 32.7 perches, more or less, and being Lot 2, plan number 5930, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch, and being part of Rural Section 56, situated in Block X, Christchurch Survey District, being the whole of the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 444, folio 300.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of May, 1936.

Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board Election Order, 1936.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day of May, 1936.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
PURSUANT to the Fire Brigades Amendment Act, 1932, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice of the Executive Council, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council made on the sixteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, and published in the Gazette on the nineteenth day of the same month, at page 57, and doth hereby in lieu thereof make the following Order prescribing the time and method of the election of members of the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board.

This Order may be cited as the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board Election Order, 1936.

In this Orderβ
"The said Act" means the Fire Brigades Amendment Act, 1932;
"The Board" means the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board;
"City member" means a member of the Board elected to represent the Auckland City Council;
"Local authority" means a local authority other than the Auckland City Council the district of which is within the Metropolitan Fire District;
"Local authority member" means a member of the Board elected to represent the local authorities as hereinbefore defined.

For all elections under this Order the Returning Officer shall be the secretary of the Board for the time being.

The electors of the city members shall be the members of the Auckland City Council.

Every city member shall be elected by resolution passed at a special meeting of the Auckland City Council.

Unless an extraordinary vacancy otherwise requires, the next election of city members shall be held in the month of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, on some day in the first week thereof.

Subsequent elections of city members shall be held in the month of June in the year one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, and in every third year thereafter on some day in the first week of that month.

In the case of an extraordinary vacancy in the office of a city member, the Returning Officer shall give notice in writing thereof to the Auckland City Council, and an election to fill the office so vacated shall be held not later than one month after the date when such notice is given.
